I don't think Norwood's a poor player, quite the opposite, I just wonder if a young central midfielder with no Premier League experience is likely to get much of a look in with our current options, particularly if Bruce hangs around.
so Abels ****ing off to Fiorentina? http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/Hull...rentina-Abel/story-29359625-detail/story.html or is it just a rumour from the imagination of HDF? Id have thought that with the extra cash, he would have opted to stay.
As I said I don't believe that we'll be even looking at buying anyone until the ownership situation is sorted out. For now I'm looking at any rumour involving us as bollocks.
Here is already a list of players lodged with the owners, so they will be looking at the top of it already, whatever happens. I've no doubt that we are talking to agents. You can't sit back and wait for holidays and take over talks.
I`m fairly and squarely in the camp of no signings until the future ownership/ management is confirmed. Bruce has already said he intends to take 10 days to make his decision, he is hardly likely to have provided targets while he is doing this, vice versa, we don`t know if the club is on the brink of being sold, or it is being retained by the current incumbents. While I have the suspicion that Ehab will hold onto the reins, and Brucie will stay, nothing can be foreseen at this time, and until such time as it has been confirmed, then these rumours are just that, pie in the sky.
We need players that are better than what we have now and Norwood is not that player. Burnley should be favourites for Norwood and they need a replacement for Barton. I would rather have Hayden back and SB should do all he can to try and get Hayden back either on loan again or on a full transfer. Our pressing need is for more strikers. Then wait until in the window to grab any other bargains. Any chance of getting James Chester back should not be overlooked. Chester and Maguire are the future.
Correct. Steve Bruce has already handed in his list of targets. IF Steve Bruce was going to leave he would have gone by now.
Yes it will. Hayden is quality and fits in well. Other than that we dont need anymore midfielders as things stand. TARGETS should be focused on strikers.
We really, really do. We have Diame, Huddlestone and Livemore that are Premier League quality. That's it. You want to go into a Premier League season with just 3 central midfielders, given that we know what can happen with injuries? Mental. Two strikers max, we only play with one anyway, no point in getting more than two unless the other is a young loan player like Wilson or Bamford.
Norwood's better than Hayden. He'd be cheaper too, I reckon. I find the logic of some on this board utterly bizarre when it comes to transfers.
