What amazes me is that Everton fans (or any club that takes our assets for that matter) just assume it's going to bring them instant success. So many of them on twitter now are acting like he's going to be their saviour. I can't recall him being in the equation two years ago. It's a funny old game.
I'm not totally sold on AVB but I'd say he has a better managerial record than Koeman did when we appointed him.
Maybe. But if he was so massively keen to extend his contract with Southampton in the first place, maybe he wouldn't be swayed by Everton. A couple of days back everybody here were wondering why on earth would Koeman be even tempted by Everton and laughing to that Tobes guy, and now you present it as if moving to Everton is such an appealing prospect that it cannot be refused.
I'm open to other candidates but at the moment, I think he's my favourite. Europa League winner, too. Would, in that sense, be a bit of a statement from us going into this year's competition.
It's one thing Ron being tempted by Everton (large salary, large transfer budget to work with, can pretty much choose to move on and further his career more whenever he likes if things go well for him), it's quite another Mane being tempted by Everton. No chance.
I saw that on Twitter, thought it was a joke - if it's for real, then I'm happy we're getting it sorted quick.
Some men aren’t looking for anything logical like money. They can’t be bought, bullied, reasoned or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.
Agreed. So theoretically speaking, but remaining realistic, who would people have on their list of five managers to sound out? I'll go first... AVB Howe De Boer Garcia Schmidt
