He's ****ing awful mate. £13.5m we paid for that donkey. Martinez deserved the sack for that alone. He can't have watched him play. Reminded me of Souness and the fella he brought in.
and Martin O'Neil? Seeing some people wanting Siemone reminds me of when some people thought MON was going to drop to League 1 to manage us
He can be, but I'm not sure why you think we'd go for a man who hasn't done it at league one sheff Utd or championship Reading. Love Nigel, but we've moved way on from him now.
Yep can't see him still being there post Summer. Off to a **** European team I reckon. Do you think Ron might come in for Wanyama? Is that a position you need with Barry getting on?
Didn't Paul Lambert say the other day he'd have no trouble finding a new job..... ....Maybe this is one of those ones where it's already all sorted behind the scenes, and like with Pochetino we'll announce it same day as RK leaves? Or maybe not!
You git, FLT. Just about to post "Fools seldom differ". Had to be done, it was an open goal. My fox is shot. Loving the meltdown this morning. You'd think we'd have got used to this kind of thing by now. Have we got any 7 years olds looking to apply, or does that only happen in Scotland?
He'll be shipped out on loan somewhere, probably back to Russia where no-one will see him We do need a DM, Barry has been great but he's 35 now. I like Wanyama but I can't see your lot being keen to deal with us after this, and you strike a hard bargain as the RS will attest to.
Think of the beauty of a Pelle front line. It would almost cancel out Funes Mori! You know it makes sense.
I am not sure how the dutch league is akin to scotland. Quality, yes. In competitiveness? Not a chance. It is not a one horse race in that league. The teams are a lot more even so I would argue management ability comes far more into play. Maybe it has changed in recent years but I don't think so. The scotland argument is often used for players. But there have been good signings from both the scottish and dutch leagues, notably by Saints It is interesting that Everton are going back to a more defensive coach. They started with a solid defense and added attacking flair and profited. Would it work just as well the other way around? Depends on how much of the attack stay
Has anyone seriously suggested Someone? I said it jokingly, as well as Emery - don't really think either would come though. But funny that even our dream choices have gone up in calibre!
Maybe that's why he's comparing the two - both are leagues which we have utilised very well! Koeman, Pelle, Tadic, Davis, VVD, Forster, Wanyama. (Plus Maya and Martina). We should be thankful really. The more people in football who write off those types of the leagues, the easier it remains for us to utilise them for our advantage.
True that, I was probably being a bit harsh with the Scotland comparison. That's what I'm hoping for, a more pragmatic approach without losing the attacking intent. Martinez was gung ho and his game management was none existent. Moyes took stick for being too far the other way, so I'm hoping Koeman can strike the right balance. Believe it or not a lot of Blues are proper meh about us getting him. I can't believe them tbh, I think he's a very clever appointment.
Perhaps the salary is not the highest priority for Emery (unlike others). I say this because I would expect Milan to offer less salary than £7m a year. I did not realise Blanc was in danger at PSG. I wonder where he will end up if he is sacked. Managing PSG is not really a challenge so I don't know how his credentials would be assessed. I would have thought it is a bit soon for Howe. He has only had one season in the premier (admittedly one more than De Boer) and Bournemouth faded badly at the end
