Remember that they have pissed of the police and the legal profession so they might well want revenge and push it the whole way. I get the feeling that as this is now in the hands of police prosecutors and the fact that a high court judge has thrown the Tory parties plea to have it all stopped out of court, this is going the distance and will end up in court,

The Attorney General, who's accountable for the CPS, is a political appointment.

No decision has been made on just what charges could be brought yet. I'm betting they'll be watered down somewhat.

Just going by the manifesto which would have managed the cuts in a far less harsh fashion than this shower of **** which have put all the burden on the less wealthy while giving tax breaks to the rich..Cutting the local council budgets so drastically is having a devastating effect, the ambulance, fire and police services are just not coping with the drastic cuts either. The Labour manifesto under Miliband would have put more of the burden on the wealthy without being to drastic, and the cuts to services would have been far less harsh. The onus would have been far more on real economic growth rather than drastic cuts, which in my opinion would have meant the nation would be in a far better state than the calamity that exists at present.

Far better? I think even at best you can say we'd be marginally better off short term but with an undefinable amount of debt (because he wasn't elected and nobody, ever delivers on their promises).

Labour pumped a hell of a lot of money into invading Iraq back in 2003 and we are still suffering repercussions of that little exercise to this day.

I'm not accepting for one minute that Tories have put us in a hole that Labour would claw us back out of with plans drawn up by a spineless nugget like Milliband.

Less so Corbyn.
 
I'm certainly not a Corbyn fan, and I'm a member of a Labour moderates group who are campaigning to have him replaced. The money spent on the Iraq conflict is insignificant in comparison to the global banking crisis that is the main reason we are in a mass. The sad thing is, is that the one group who have not suffered is the bankers who are still raking it in. It is my opinion that this government has went about reducing the deficit in totally the wrong way by putting the burden almost totally on local government services and the less well off. Miliband's manifesto was a far fairer way of getting out of the financial mess that we were in.

Most people work really, really hard, and just about scrape by.

To become a millionaire you have to employ others and pay them **** wages - like that boss of the Championship club just up the road.

Ok then, if I become a millionaire in this country, I'd leave.

I'm not sure why we have the right to target people that have money, the way we seem to do. They have earned it, or had good fortune.
 
I think if the outright winners of a General Election were that scared of UKIP's recent advances, the second party must have been pretty much terrified to death of them! We're now investigating the winning party because that's what sells more papers and viewing figures. If Labour had won, they'd probably be in the same mire now. Why don't we wake up to the facts - UKIP is the problem! They are the party that's addressing our real-life issues and every side of the present corrupt, self-serving House is terrified of them. This isn't so much party political - it's much more a party-reality issue. We need to wake up to it.

3) I'm not really into politics, mate. I don't know enough about it. I just know I'm unhappy with Labour, because it was in their time in charge that immigration got out of control, in this country. I absolutely love the way we didn't really get involved in the immigration crisis that's going on throughout Europe. I vote Conservative at the moment, as my main concern is immigration (and I feel that's my prerogative). I trust more in the Conservatives than Labour, when it comes to that. If UKIP start to have a serious chance, then my vote will be going over to them.

Just going by the manifesto? - and when did we last get to believe that tripe? The last believable politician I remember was Manny Shinwell - and he was shifted up to the House of Lords because his party (Labour) couldn't stand his down-to-earth honesty any longer!

He'd have done this, he'd have done that? - bollox. That's what he promised - and we all know what that means.

Of course it is subjective because it didn't happen. However, I am positive that the savings needed would have been done in a far fairer way had Miliband's Labour won.
