Good Luck <ok>

BUZZ LIGHTYERE runs at Lingfield tomorrow (5.10) with Jim Crowley on board. Opened 9/2.
He ran really well at Brighton last time despite not getting the run of the race and being bumped at least three times in the final furlong. He learnt a lot that day and should be ready to go on now.
After Brighton there were no races for a 62 rated so the trainer asked the handicapper to look into possibly dropping him a couple of pounds to widen his options. To our surprise he agreed and dropped him to 60.
He should be very well in now and we will be very disappointed if he cannot win what looks a pretty modest event. There is always the possibility that we will bump into an improver especially with the likes of Prescott having runners but our fella should win this.

SQUIRE missed his last engagement as he scoped dirty and when the vet came back a week later he still had a throat infection. It is possible that he was sick when he ran at Haydock as we rather fancied his chances that day.
Everything he does at home convinces us that he is a 90 horse but he hasn’t quite delivered at the track.
We have a race in mind for him at Newbury a week tomorrow and we would very much expect to see him run a big race. He is in good form at home having got over his infection and we will be looking to have Havlin back on board.

<applause> Straight from the horse's mouth <ok>

Best of luck <cheers>

I am without internet but tonight I am baby sitting at Amanda's so, fortunately, can get on to wish you the best of luck with Buzz tomorrow. Good news re Squire also. <cheers>

Jim Crowley riding. Is that a good thing? Ground softer than previously encountered (Good-good to soft in places). Is that a good thing? Will more rain improve or lessen his chances. Sorry stick. Wouldn't normally ask these questions but my wife has gone to UK and is thinking of having a few bob on Buzz. <laugh>

Actually it's not that good news. We have had lots of horses and ponies for over 20 years and have never had one with a throat infection. Does make me wonder if it is related to his op. Really hope it's not related and that it doesn't reoccur.

You learn something new everyday ! 20 years and I never knew you could ask the handicapper to lower your rating so you can find a race more easily...... and that he would do it!

Good luck tomorrow Stick & Don <ok>

I think as Bob has mentioned I will wait to see what action takes place on the Prescott and Hannon horses in the morning before deciding on a punt but whether carrying money or not I will watch with great interest.

I've decided not to burden Buzz with our money stick/don. As you know I don't bet and would hate to ruin his chances. Good luck. Hope the race is on TV so I can cheer him on from my armchair.

Best of luck today Don/Stick. Hope he goes well for you and comes back in good nick. I've done your boy in a reverse forecast with Zebedees Son, who I think is capable of putting in a big run at a big price. Not backed either in singles yet will probably nip up town on me lunch break and put them on

The ground is definitely of some concern as the sires progeny as a rule usually prefer to hear their feet rattle. Is a worry but he is in very good order so needs to take his chance. I think Havlin would have been on but has to get to Kempton for Mr Gosden.

All the best with Buzz today, rattling ground up at Hamilton! Come north of the wall us wildlings want to see your horse!!!!
