I thought he fell out with his national manager?
Dusan said that was rubbish at the time.

Great stuff Fats, but surely it can't be 20 years since the Lightning Seeds song? You'll be telling me it's 50 years since we won the World Cup next! Watching Bobby Moore lift that tiny little trophy was probably the greatest moment in my 12 year old life back then, possibly never topped in a sporting sense, not even *sacrilege alert* by Saints' famous victory 10 years later.
Come on you Epically Excellent England.
The other nations should fear us
Sorry - Jerusalem is a rugby song, brought forward as a result of public school hymns. In my opinion does not work for football and is more for the so called prawn brigade (Roy Keane not me) who are responsible for the ever increasing ticket prices and 'jolly good shot, what' support. Hope I haven't offended too many on here, but Vindaloo is what it was all about when I grew up on the terraces!I know 20 years!!! I wasn't around in 66being a late 60s baby!!
I just decided with all the doom and gloom over the squad, it's time to turn to the powers that work. I just need theresonlyoneno7 to add a bit and we can carry this lot through. We turned Saints around and now we cam do it for England, Engerland, Engerland!
Now I just need to arm Myself up properly. If someone could just bring me my bow; you know the one of burning gold, with a couple of those desire arrows...

Agree about Roy Keane (but he was right this once), agree about God save the queen - but 99.99% of songs written are better, doesn't mean I want to sing them. and in my opinion, where songs come from does matter, because music and singing should come from the soul not just the mouth.Rugby, football, tiddlywinks... I don't care. It's an excellent song, much better than God Save The Queen.
Oh, and Roy Keane is a complete prick by the way.

I concede - I am, though, a bit worried how many players would be able to sing a song with more than six words in a line and more than 7 lines! But there are not many 'anthems' that are relevant to England. Gotta choose one, even if it's your least fave of a bad bunch. Vindaloo is a great pub/terrace song, but it's not anthem-material.
I followed those arrows of desire 32 years ago and look where it got me - I'm still bloody married to her!The negativity thread is that a way >>>>> (these are arrows of desire)
