    ECHO:

A few people asking me about this man today.

    So let’s have a look.

Are Liverpool interested in Piotr Zielinski? Yes, Jurgen Klopp is a fan.

But a deal has always been reported to be far more advanced in foreign newspapers than we believed it actually is. Liverpool are, of course, also interested in Mahmoud Dahoud.

Anyway, here’s the latest on Zielinski in today’s rumour mill, with reports in Italy saying the move is actually now OFF.

Young striker Samed Yesil is set to leave Liverpool on a free transfer this summer, according to the Daily Post.

Two serious knee injuries have interrupted his development on Merseyside, and he will not be offered a contract extension with his current deal set to expire this summer.

    Types of players we need:
    1. That can change game, when the going is tough.
    2. Super sub...that can score winning goal.
I can not remember when last we had any of them.
2:0 up at Southampton we came bac with nothing.

My understanding of Zielinski was that he's owned 100% by Udinese and just on loan at Empoli.

    Could be wrong. Italian sides...

Liverpool are set to beat out Napoli to the signing of Udinese winger Piotr Zielinski, report La Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Reds had been linked with the 22-year-old who netted five goals and conjured up four assists on loan at Empoli this season, but there was talk of unexplained “complications” in the Italian media this weekend, but reports now suggest that Napoli are set to complete a transfer for the Poland international.
Jurgen Klopp’s men have made two signings already this summer, defender Joel Matip from Schalke and Loris Karius of Mainz, as the German sets about making his imprint on the his squad.

One feels lfc summer plans have fallen by the wayside in Basel and lfc are struggling now to actually get players.

There's a lot of agents using the club name for their own ends but little real out there

a lot of players wont move until tournament is over hoping they have a good one and better clubs come in for them.

if other clubs was buying and we was missing out i could see your point, but who have we missed out on? and are you assuming we was in for them in the first place ie what the media tell us? which is 90% made up bullshit for all clubs.

Can't see us going for Reina. His levels dipped massively with us last time and he'll want to be 1st team keeper - has he improved since he left us? Probably not a massive amount.

Loves the guy and he clearly brought leadership and personality to the dressing room though but is that enough?

Can't see us getting big name players this summer. But we could build with unknown quality and players who want to play for us. I'll be happy with that.

    Statistically I know.. but...
We've bought in top 3 goalie from Germany..
We've bought in top 3 central defender from Germany..

    A lad with potential..

We've missed out Gotze? Yes, that I think is related to the defeat in the EL Final, had we won, we'd be in CL and he'd be leaning against a wall in Melwood.
Think with Gotze, he's hoping for a good Euro's and get a team like Juve to make a play for him, if not, then he may "sit out" his last year at Bayern on the bench and go on a free back to Dortmund..
Whilst a shame, I'm fully in agreement with Klopp, he said he wants players that want to come and help push the train to get where we want to go, not players to jump on the train once we got/get there...
I do like the fact no more leaks are coming out, no more on the side breifings to Journo's, I hope we keep our business quite until its time to announce something.
Regardless of name, if Klopp gets in players he believes he can mould into a team that will get the desired results then I'm all for it!
