After about three years drinking at the Hobbit, someone told me that it was actually an over-18's pub. I couldn't believe it. Nearly spilled my Sherbet Dip all over the floor!
This was my first home game at St Mary's after an absence of living in Hampshire since 1984! An old school friend managed to get VIP tickets for the game and we watched from the Itchen Stand. Great day - lost my voice by the end of it. I remember Surman had to play left back and the Blades launched countless attacks down that flank from the kick-off and he handled all that was thrown at him. I too remember Beatty's 'injury' and their manager intimating that mentally he did not want to play that day.
Best for him to be honest if he felt he might not give his best or would feel crap if he did. Be different if it was absolutely essential for United.
He's not even back from his holidays yet. Football clubs and people are like cats. They do things in their own sweet time. It's why they can be so sodding annoying.
I hope that someone is there at the airport pen in hand to greet him when he lands. Holiday...whatever next!
Flying in over the Isle of Wight? Blimey it's been a long time since I visited he south side of the island; it's looking good. *throws holiday brochure in the bin *
how long will we have to wait until he gets home and washes his speedos and unpacks his fridge magnets.......then go and sign on the dotted line I wonder. Another week I reckon.
Mmm, I'm not keen on this order of things; unpacking fridge magnets and washing speedos need to be further apart
