Good for them. This might be unpopular, but it's time to stop comparing their progress to MK Dons. What happened has happened, it isn't unhappening. Maybe it's more of a media thing than the club itself.
I believe it still upsets some of their fans and once these league games are done it will slowly be a note in history.
AFC still don't have a home in Wimbledon after all this time.
I would argue that this has worked out best for everyone in the long run.

Sky were wrong when they said the first fixture AFC fans would look for is MK. They actually prefer not to play or acknowledge Milton Keynes Dons because it legitimises MK in their eyes.
There's a review of the plans for their move to a c. 16,000-20,000 seater in Wimbledon - to be called 'New Plough Lane' - scheduled for July. They're hoping that Sadiq Khan will remove the brakes that Boris Johnson had applied.
