Ronald has to remember that he has to wake up in the morning and look at himself in a mirror. To be able to do that is worth losing an extra 3 million. [HASHTAG]#fingerscrossed[/HASHTAG]

Mirror saying that Everton are willing to offer double what Saints have offered to land Ronald. Don't know that this is new really as I'm pretty sure they were always going to pay more than us.
Have a feeling there will be a few twist and turns before koeman puts pen to paper on new contract. (If it happens)
I think 99% of the twisting and turning will be done in the media and on forums. There are so many instances where something rather simple slowly happens in reality, but in the media you think any participants disappeared up their own singularity and re-appeared in several parallel universes before doing the simple thing.Have a feeling there will be a few twist and turns before koeman puts pen to paper on new contract. You could be right. I'll try that in Google Translate. The media always think that 'no' is Dutch for yes anyway.

Our 2014/15 wage bill (the last year for which figures are available) was fractionally higher than Everton's. Unless something has changed radically since then, their financial position is no stronger than ours.
Swiss Ramble had them well above us in wage bill for '14/'15, but something did change radically: 49.9% of the club was sold to a billionaire who is in the process of buying out a controlling stake.
Everton have had sod all money for years and years. It's why their supporters have been clamouring for an ownership change since... well, for a very long time, anyway. Majority owner Bill Kenwright just wanted to get the right people in to look after his beloved club. Then, when he couldn't find the ideal people he settled for the best he could get. Now they've got their new owners it doesn't mean to say the money is suddenly going to flood as if from a burst dam.Our 2014/15 wage bill (the last year for which figures are available) was fractionally higher than Everton's. So now their fans think they're the new Man City. Sounds pretty delusional to me. I refer the right honorable gentleman to my previous assertion, to whit; Everton? Who the **** are Everton?
If it was Arsenal I'd be worried. But it's not, so I'm calling bollocks. Ron won't go to Everton.
It is a shame Ron has been on holiday this week. The South has been like Portugal while the North has been largely grim. I know where I would rather live!
I guess players have a ltd shelf life and an injury can abruptly end their earning. Managers can go on until they're old and crumbly.Do find it endlessly strange that managers are generally so far down the list in terms of salaries at their respective clubs. 2.5m a year is a shade under 50k a week...half the team is making more than that, and that's a common tale at a great many PL clubs.
Just asked my mate about this. He's not sure where Cross is getting his info, as this is old news as far as he's concerned. Nothing has changed in relation to Koeman since he declined to be considered further last Tuesday, the fact that we were prepared to pay a lot more than Southampton was already made clear.http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/everton-willing-pay-manager-target-8076616
