Well happy with that result and a pretty good defensive performance. Feeling confident now about Championship games, even without the supposed "missing" 20+ goals striker - with 5 or so players who are all capable of knocking 10+ each in.. Bet Dyer is feeling top of the world! :emoticon-0131-angel:emoticon-0170-ninja

OMG WE LOST WE IZ GUNNA GET RELIGAITID!!!

I thought it was a brilliant day out.

In a game like this you should only take the positives and there were plenty. Firstly, I was amazed at how good the atmosphere was, the singing section in the East Stand was in full voice. From the away end where I was seeing, everything about the ground looked fantastic especially our fans. I really don't know why people complain about our stadium, it looks nice and sounds very loud and intimidating from the away end.

We played pretty well tbf - Bamba was amazing. If he was like that every game - we'd be on easy street. Defence in general looks good, I'd like to see Peltier in next week. Abe was very good as well, in truth the tacklers are always going to stand out more against Real Madrid than the creative players, but all the same, he showed great energy and tackling, he needs to be that lively and commited every game. We saw it at times last season but not as frequent as I might have hoped, but today was certainly the example of Abe at his best.

Out of the creative players, I was impressed with Danns. Skilful and hardworking. Schmeichel made some great saves for us. Howard did brilliantly when he came on. Amazing when Dyer scored.

Notes on Madrid - Benzema and Ramos were particularly brilliant, I never noticed Kaka was on the pitch, and Ronaldo was hilariously awful.

Absolutely buzzing for Cov away now!

Fabulous day. Some good music from James Lewis Band and Jersey Budd. Great aatmosphere outside the ground. An excellent workout chasing the Madrid players. Sol Bamba was awesome and probably made the tackle of the season to save a goal. Kasper looked solid, and really gave some verbals. Peltier played the whole match and looked a bargain. Nugent looked sharp considering he has only played a couple of games. All in all, totally outclassed, but proud of the team cos they never gave up. Excellent practice game for fitness (apart from Matt Mills who took 2 knocks to the head).
    Thanks Top - great day

Brilliant day out, Madrid were quality but we held our own. Dyer's goal best of the game. Stand out players for us were Schmeichel, Bamba & Danns. Won't be playing teams of that quality in the league, looking forward to the Cov game got my ticket today.

I just watched the goal highlights as i was unfortionate to get a ticket. I am hearing that the backline were very solid and only conceeded 2 goals against possibly the best team in the world! 2 goals, 1 of which was nicely put away, lovely teamwork. I felt the 2nd was unfortionate, ppls runnin into one another and a meg to finish but you cant argue at 2-1. Well done lads!

Bamba Abe Schmeichael Danns Konchesky, all great!

Mills was also brilliant, looks as tho hes gunna get a concussion every other game with that level of commitment <laugh><ok>

Peltier, maybe not as good as Naughton, but still great stuff! Had a great game.

Wellens had a stinker for me, had a go at Danns once as well.

Forwards wern't really tested tbh, but defence 10/10
