We have a lot of (supposedly) creative midfielders - we need more crunchers.
Having said that, it's a squad game and if Klopp thinks he can use him then I'm happy with giving him a go.
I'm still waiting to see what JK can produce when he has more of his own choices before I pass judgement.

Exactly. We need to find a Kante somewhere. I'm sure Klopp has his ears and eyes open. He's known for being clever in the market, so these lesser names may be exactly the right way to go.

    Interesting times for sure.

I feel all our creativity is in the same place atm. The AM trio line. Sturridge and Origi bring ideal pace and movement for that trio to create for, but other than that it is all work horses. Energy, reliable and neat with out being spectacular. Emre Can shows potential but needs the right partner to unlock him.

Right now teams now that if they block the AM, the strikers get no service and we become a team of work horses. Putting some creativity further big will do a lot to counter this. Not only will expand our creative range but it will pull some attention away from the AM trio and make us harder to mark as we will be a lot more 3D in attack.

I like the summer so I'm not going to wish my life away waiting for the season to start, but I am looking forward to it. Extremely disappointing that we have no Europe but fascinating that so many top managers are back in the Prem.
It will be good to see if by assembling a balanced squad Klopp can compete with the really big spenders.
Also Utd, after giving a couple of numpties a go for a bit have got an utter twat for a manager again. It's bound to be entertaining.

Sturridge is fast. Trouble is he's been too scared to use it recently because he didn't want to miss out on the Euro's. Now the daft twat's injured anyway <doh>

    Such a wasted talent.

Sturridge is really quick over a few yards, but rarely runs with the ball at pace over longerdistances

Maybe an unpopular opinion I have seen from Sturrridge lol, but from what I have seen is he is not a team player and very selfish.

I have seen Owen leave what sturridge did in final when lovren scored and that could have made the dif never know sadly and I don't buy strikers instinct, like I said seen Owen do similar and leave for a goal.

Sadly he is the best we can do at the moment striker wise why he gets away with it. But team player I'm not sold on. Starting to see similar from a few who should pass.

Think Sturridge is by far our most dangerous player when he's fit.

Link up play and even his hold up play are excellent. He doesn't lose possession often and always alive to combinations around the box.

He does have a selfish streak if he feels he can shoot though. But he does hit the target quite often and has scored some great + unorthodox goals from many angles.

Yeah, that selfishness that some of the best strikers have is part of their DNA. Its just striking a balance, and I think Studge does that. He isn't ALWAYS
selfish, and creates for others in and around the box

Sturridge is not the perfect player, but he is a match winner.

Never said he wasn't. But if we was in a dif situation would we not want a team player?

He declares himself unfit when tying his shoe laces up wrong, if we had the choice, how many would put up with his crap?

I know he is a good player and match winner but we have had a lot better than him.

Rushie always said he was the fastest player in the league over the first ten yards and that's all you need as a striker. Fowler was the same

Hahaha, one of the funniest things I have read. Origi came in for a few games and completely showed him up as to how you hold up the ball correctly.

As for my previous pace comment, Sturridge in those final few games had a couple embarrassing moments where defenders out paced him.

I see you lot are in competition with Leicester for your targets now, what do you think will win CL or history?

Premier League champions Leicester, along with Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool, are interested in signing Arsenal and England midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, 22. (Sunday Express
