East Broads area.
last week my sister got an email from the club saying she wouldn't be getting a season ticket for the coming season, on Wednesday this week she got a letter offering her one!?! I went to the ticket office yesterday to see if she could sit with me or I could move my seat so we could be together. I was very surprised being shown the availability, the are loads.

ILD, a possible explanation is the ST allocation is capped at 22,000, I believe, so your choosing a different seat means your old ST seat becomes a part of the 5/6000 available to buy for each match!

That's strange, suggests that they had sold out but one then became available. Maybe someone hedging there bets on the waiting list with applications in two price bands and cancelled the one they didn't need. That or someone from Yarmouth had had enough and decided to join the United crew!
I'm guessing of course that it was a new application, as renewals would have been dealt with some time ago. I'm sure Dave is right with respect to the ease of moving. As long as it was not one of the really popular areas it's likely that there will always be some seats together to be had.

Bah!

The section I sit in must have had 20/30 available, some of the others were about the same. I put my sister on the list mid last season, so it's happened quite quickly. One of my family has taken my old seat as I was sitting with my brother in law, I'm glad about that!
The email my sister received said she was 1143rd on the list for next season? So I'm still puzzled.

If she was the first on the list who was after a single ST then she may have jumped past all the 2, 3 or 4's. I think most people want to go with someone they know as a social thing.

Bah!

Don't think she was first on the list, my theory is that she pestered the crap out of them nearly every week and they finally gave in...she's a bit like that bless her!
