Glory Grayson was heavily linked with the vacant managerial post at Leeds United, with whom he started his playing career, following the sacking of Gary McAllister in December 2008,[14] but Blackpool refused permission for Leeds to speak to Grayson.[15][16] Despite this Grayson tendered his resignation, which the Blackpool board did not accept, and he was announced as Leeds United's new manager. The two clubs ultimately settled the dispute for an undisclosed fee.[17]
I know... My flippant point was he was attracted by the office bike but Cellino has got rid of them all.
Yep, that is my worry. Nothing has come out in our local press from the manager about what he wants. That could be due to the fact that he thinks it is irrelevant to give is opinion. If Leeds havent made the 2nd approach agreeing to our demands then there is no point opening a can of worms and getting grief from his own fans. At the same time he may not want to be disrespectful to your club and dismiss you without hearing what the offer is. Personally, I want our man to do what Karl Robinson did which was to make it clear he aint interested. Who knows what is going on in our managers head right now
In our local rag that Warnock has advised our manager to stay clear of Leeds EXPERIENCED manager Neil Warnock has warned Bristol Rovers boss Darrell Clarke against taking the Leeds United job. Clarke has emerged as Leeds owner Massimo Cellino's number one target and has been the subject of a formal approach, which has been turned down. The two clubs are currently haggling over the terms of a set of pre-conditions that Rovers have insisted Leeds must meet if they are to be allowed the opportunity to talk to Clarke, who has guided his side to back-to-back promotions. Rovers are keen for the situation to be resolved one way or the other by Monday so that they can re-visit their plans for life in League One next season, which have had to temporarily be put on hold whilst the tug-of-war over Clarke continues. Should Leeds eventually get their man, Clarke, 38, would be taking over at one of the most famous clubs in England – but, at the same time, would be working for a man who has been labelled 'the manager eater' after dispensing with the services of 43 manager in 24 years of football club ownership. Warnock, who was in charge at Elland Road between 2012 and 2013 before Cellino assumed ownership, believes the situation at Leeds calls for an older and more experienced head. "I am not sure I would recommend him (Clarke) going to Leeds as the next stage of his career, if I am honest," Warnock told TalkSport radio on Thursday morning. "I think, the turmoil at the moment with the fans, it would be very, very difficult for a young manager to go in there and not just turn the team around, but get everybody on side." http://www.bristolpost.co.uk/Neil-W...tory-29324207-detail/story.html#ixzz49nbsvG9V
What would warnock know after what he did to us, he didn't stay long at Rotherham either. We've had so called older experienced heads, didn't work. Let's give a younger and more ambitious head a go, he'll be hungry for success and to impress, and he'll be more in touch with todays game than the likes of Warnock.
I honestly don't hate anyone in football more than Warnock (even before his time at leeds). I really struggled watching the team with him in charge and I think he completely ****ed the squad over.
You're not happy with Leeds Utd messing your club around, try being messed around for the past 12 yrs......
My last abiding memory of that anti.Leeds United twat was watching us get hammered 7.3 v Florist, do not need or want him back.....
