Apropos of precisely nothing, in looking at the sites of a couple League 2 sides, remembered that the format of the SFC website uses is still the old Football League template. Think we'd be safe in chancing a makeover now, guys!
But it does mean you can sign into any club website using the same format and watch their exclusive videos.
QPR are breaking the contract this summer, so I've been told, so it is doable... It's definitely something that's on the radar, but I couldn't say how far off it is.
http://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/fo...t-distance-per-game-run-furthest-hard-working A look at the work horses of the EPL. JWP is in there as he runs an average of 11.26 km/90 min
Great little clip. Not strictly accurate of course, as we have only actually improved for 6 straight seasons. 2009/10 we finished lower than the previous season when we were relegated from the Championship. *Pedantry alert*
http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/sa...ns_how_he_took_the_bull_by_the_horns/?ref=rss Long talking after receiving the Echo player of the season award. Says the team know they could have been in CL spots if they hadn't dropped some points, so feels there was a missed opportunity.
Well I feel a bit like a saints fan who puts a tenner on Saints to lose a game. You don't want to win the bet but it's a small compensation if you do. (I never have bet against us btw). If Man U win the cup today then it's great for Saints and LVG is more likely to cling to his job- all good. If on the other hand Man U lose in the cup final, then, well, Man U have lost in the cup final. It's a bit of a win-win for team Channon today
And, whisper it quietly, the improvement started after Les Reed was brought in to oversee football development, as well as scouting and recruitment. I'm sure some fans don't realise how important he has been to our rise, and only see him as the one who "sells off all our best players because.....insert reason here".
http://www.shoot.co.uk/3-things-we-learnt-from-southamptons-201516-premier-league-season/ An article from Shoot discussing what has been learnt from Saints season....good to read an article from someone who seems to have more facts than those derived from reading the odd newspaper headline.
Bits of Matchday uncovered...lots of hugs, lost a bit because of lack of context to the pieces shown. For instance, Fonte grinning back at Forster was because a mascot told Forster he was tall, then consoled Jose by assuring him that he was quite tall as well. And Mane hugged the boy who begged him not to leave.
