4.20 Muterajill 3-1
Banker for the day - I backed this horse first time up and felt the horse would come on again for the run. I think Roger Varian, who for me is the best trainer in Newmarket would just like to lose the maiden tag and feels the horse has a relatively easy task here.

Goodwood
4.35 Huntsmans Close 6-1
My biggest concern about this selection is the price, as it just seems too big and I would have expected 3's. If the horse is trying to win and not just protecting it's mark for Royal Ascot he could take this with ease. On his day this horse is better than a handicapper.

Haydock
8.30 Corinthian 5-2
Take the price as I think it will not go off anything like it and in a two horse race in which it's main rival does not look anything special 5-2 could be massive.

9.00 Sarmadee 8-1
A value bet in a race that could fall to about 5 horses.
 
Don't think it likely that I'll be "skiffling" today, but a couple (light years apart in type of race) who might well have been let-in lightly by the handicapper?:

16:00 Goodwood - Hestina

20:50 Stratford - Bandol

AOB has put the punters away this week and declared MINDING ahead of Ballydoyle for the 1000 Guineas. (Ballydoyles bloods were not right)

A lot of wasted antepost on Ballydoyle I imagine.

Apparantly MINDING is still Oaks bound after this.

Cheers Tward' it has being going alright as it really should for me this time of year as between May and August is when I find punting pays, I was more disciplined throughout the jumps season this year which is when I usually give it all back, so hoping to have a good season. I tend back in singles but often grouping them together as well so that I have the chance of winning on the day but also of hitting a big one, so far this season I have had success on some singles and doubles but not hit the four or five timer, it's coming however. I only put them up on the thread this time of year as I feel confident but keep a far more low profile during the jumps and leave it those that know better.

Johnston has been doing well with 2 year olds, so perhaps my best shout is Bridal March in the 7.00, though the market doesn't seem to think so. Kingsgate Native in the 7.30 might be worth an e/w shout. Dare I say Just Be Lucky, 9.00?

I enjoyed Goodwood yesterday - can't seem to find the enthusiasm for today's card, however.
In the 2.20, I like the look of Harlequin Striker, especially as the market thinks this is all over before it has started, so I'll have a go there.
Englishman in the 4.35 would be my next best, but not convinced I want to get involved.
At Carlisle, I like Hotfill in the 2.30.

6:30 - Merchant of Medici 5/1
7:00 - Devilish Guest 2/1
7:30 - Encore D'or & Kingsgate Native both 8/1 (i don't like backing horses on hatricks but think Encore could be up to this and Kingsgate is an old favourite and can't let him go unbacked) reverse forecast also
8:00 - Zenafire 11/2
8:30 - Superyacht 4/6 (no bet though, **** price)
9:00 - Sarmadee 15/2

Just got a text from a mate saying Some Response expected to win in the last at Downpatrick.He got it from a lad in work so I've no idea if the source is any good.I've backed it anyways at 4s.
