... the wekness in your logic is that taking it to extremes you might even argue that Newcastle had a better season than Sunderland <laugh>... last 6 unbeaten and spanked Spuds 5-1 ... don't think Sunderland could match either stat ... BUT!

Disagree. Opinions ey.

My point is - form after the maths is dealt with is irrelevant. Precisely because results like newcastle 5-1 spurs happen when nobody cares about results anymore.

Had sunderland managed to finish 16th, i would still consider them to be the 4th worst team in the league because they were the last team to secure survival, irrespective of whether theys leapfrogged a team that are on the beach already in the last day.

... so you don't think anyone in North London cared about the result, or its' implications? <laugh>

Fans - obviously.

Players - end of a title challenge, mentallt drained, half an eye on the carribean? Meh

Who had a better season? The team who ran leicester until a few weeks ago or the team who bottled it two months ago?

Feel free to disagree. I know many do. Just my opinion. In my opinion players dont give two hoots what happens once their objective is/is not met. Spurs were on the beach the second their title challenge failed. They were still leicesters biggest hurdle to overcome

.. actually I don't disagree ... I'm just an awkward old bugger that likes to play devil's advocate <laugh>... I think Spurs had by far the better season because they would not have been expected title contenders at the start ... Arsenal could, perhaps should have won it ... but I don't buy the bullshit that it was a weak contest this season ... previously the Sky4 have been able to vastly overspend on recruitment keeping them clear of rthe pack - the increased money in the EPL generally is levelling the playing field as the acquisitions at Spurs, Stoke, West Ham, Leicester, Wattdord, Southampton, Bourneouth etc have demonstrated ... and long may it continue <ok> <laugh>

Agreed - if anything its a sign of a strong league that anybody can beat anybody. Every team that ever wins the league is 'lucky' in one way or another. Its always deserved though.

Exactly. Nobody expected either one of us to be contesting the title until the last few games.

The Goons are busy celebrating pipping us by one point at the death. In reality, they should be contemplating how they've probably blown their best chance of winning the Prem in years.

With City & Utd average, and Chelsea in turmoil, they won't have a better chance for a long, long time to come!

Your best chance since 1963!

Our best chance since 2005!

We will have other chances, I believe. Whether you will, I doubt!

Based on what exactly ? <laugh> You've just had your best season since the Ark and you still ****ed it up. We've been in the Top 4 for the last 20 years and Wenger has won the league 3 times along with several decent shots at the title in that time too. Your lot have just spent that time pissing money up the wall on **** strikers and chopping and changing your managers as often as a old granny with incontinence changes her bloomers.

Because we have a young progressive manager with the youngest, and a somewhat talented team, in the Prem.

You, in contrast, have Whinger.

Yep, good. You keep thinking like that. It's the way Whinger thinks. It almost cost you this year. Next year, well, who knows!...

You lot are quickly becoming known as the new scousers.

Next year Spurs stand a very good chance. If you freshen up with a couple of players then there is no reason why you cannot have another go.

If you carry on with this kind of bolshy talk, Pixie will label you as my bitch.

...and you keep thinking like that too!...

Next year you are playing CL, will be mentally tired after your title collapse and Euro 2016. You'll probably get more injuries, your temperament for big games has been exposed as suspect, you won't be playing part-time.

And most of all City United (with Jose) Chelsea will all finish 10 points above you.

And Liverpool and Arsenal will come above you too.

Or Chelsea will have another **** start and you'll vanish into the ether, again. One or the other.
