The defence scares me the more I look at it.
If we resort to lumping it up to Carroll then the wheels have fallen off big time. Delighted he's not going......but just wait until Rashford gets injured in the Cup Final......personally these two haven't done enough Delph and Wilshere. Agree with the Defeo comments but not sure on his international goal scoring rate - club level good. Rashford might just be the surprise that gets goals - a players not many other have heard of. Sturridge and Henderson have both had time out injured this season and I would be hesitant in taking these two. As much as I hate to say it, maybe Carroll would have been a better option as he offered something different.
It's criminal Noble doesn't get a look in and Wilshere and Henderdon just walk straight into the squad just because of who they are and who they play for.I'm not too sure about Delph, Wilshere, Henderson and Sterling. The first 3 have hardly played and Sterling has been £50 million pounds of pants. Noble's had an excellent season at West Ham and deserved a chance.

Wilshire and Henderson have hardly any match time, so shouldn't go. Stones is a nightmare defensively, as he won't put it into row Z when needed. Rashford's inclusion smells like Walcott in 06, if he goes he won't get a game, so why take him? Rooney was a given but shouldn't be. Interesting, no cover centrally at the back. Jagielka should be there because Cahill and Smalling won't both stay fit.
That's about the best line up I think. I'd like to see Stones simply because he's a footballer, but perhaps he needs a bit more time. While we seem to have added some pace going forward with the full backs, let's see if they can handle Bale. It's when you look at the line up you realise how much work Wellbeck gets through.I'd take Rashford instead of Sturridge.
Wiltshire is so good I'd take a chance on him. I wouldn't take Henderson or Delph.
Starting 11:
------------Hart-----------
Clyne-Smalling-Cahil-Rose
-------Wilshire-Dier--------
Lalaana--- Rooney-----Ali
-----------Kane-----------
We will miss Wellbeck.
As a neutral the only thing that stands out to me is, I am glad to see Rooney included. He really is one of the few world class players in that squad.
From a QPR point of view, good to see the ex-QPR man Tom Heaton is making the squad. Is he really amongst the best keepers England have? I can't say I ever really rated him when he played for us.
Edit - Glad to see another ex-R, Townsend included too.
