I've know a few people with no connection to Hull who suddenly started supporting the club. One guy did explain it to me but it didn't make sense but he was devoted so nobody cared what the reason was.

It was a bit weird how I started: I didn't have any thoughts on Hull City but somehow I decided to go to a reserve match and enjoyed. I looked for when the next match was and it was Hull City v Everton in the FA Cup. I went to every home match for the next 10 years except one when my parents wouldn't let me go as a punishment for something I didn't even do!
Then I moved to London and I only went to the odd match until the mid 1980s when I went to a lot. Then I only went a few times after until 2007 and from then I went to about 5 - 15 a season.
If I lived in Hull I would sign up for the membership despite opposing it as I wouldn't want anybody stopping me going.

Late 60's regular with mi dad and all his pub mates .. parked outside the pub while they went in and I was left with a bottle of cherry aid and a bag of crisps .. I had to take a wooden box with me so I could see over the railings .. Loved it .. Remember Stoke playing I liked Gordon Banks ... but Ian Hector McKechnie was one of my favorites.

Stoke in the Fa Cup

My best game ever.

I got my dad to come in bunkers with me and i remember it like it was yesterday

We lost.....but it was as good a day as cup final day which we also lost.

I loved the old days ..the whole week was based around saturdays game with everyone getting excited for the visit of sheff u ..sheff wed...boro...sunderland etc

Away day specials

Tapping money in station to get train fare.
or pissing off from home on the friday and hitch hiking to games age 13 . 14

Dark days but great days .

I've still got the program for the Everton game. I took my Dad, but he couldn't stand the crowds as he was a bit Claustrophobic, and went home after 10 minutes.
