£25 m ? That's a 29 year old Scotsman a Belgian who never plays and a Dutchman on a permanent holiday on expenses at our place.

Just who exactly do you expect would want to come, and at the same time, who would be any better, not forgetting that Neil would have to be dismissed or resign first , which seems more and more unlikely for each hour that passes. Think you´ll find he´s part of the furniture for the immediate future, at any rate.

Well, that's me done for this season and I'm now taking a break for a couple of months.
I'm just slightly in favour of AN staying, but at the same time wouldn't be too disgruntled to see him jump/pushed.
Play nicely in the meantime and as Arnie says - "I'll be back!!!"

Sorry you´re missing the point - we are mediocre and have been for the most of this season, and it´s not going to make an awful lot of difference whether we as supporters accept it or not. The important thing is whether the triumvirate of Smith, Jones and Balls, will accept it, and my guess is that they have plenty enough to deal with at the moment, without sacking the manager as well.
Certainly it wouldn´t prevent me supporting them, if that´s what you mean. and just because you don´t or won´t accept mediocrity, unless those who make the decisions happen to agree with you, nothing much is going to change. The last time they submitted to fan power, over Chris Hughton, the result, in terms of success, was very little better, and I just don´t see them so readily submitting a second time. We know the rowdy minority will always make themselves heard, but the last poll I looked at suggested that the majority are still in favour of Neil staying.
History also suggests that as long as season tickets continue to be sold out, and the waiting list continues to grow, the board will be quite content to carry on as usual, and who can blame them, that´s really the only parameter they can go by.

Holy hell, so no progress, no improvement, no respect for us season ticket holders and supporters, no ground improvement, no better player recruitment, just accept bad leadership and management as the normal. I'm astonished that so called supporters will just sit back and accept that. I loved seeing the best players/teams in the world playing against my team, now I've got Rotherham, Burton Albion et al. Hope your happy with that. We had a opportunity to earn a fantastic sum of money and use it to compete in the worlds best league, but ineptitude and awful decision making by the manager scuppered that.
Don't forget that it was up to Mcnally once AN had identified targets, to move heaven and earth to get them over the line. He failed hence him falling on his sword last week.
I think Alex Neil got pretty much what he wanted, don't go blaming others for his failures. He got us Naismith......McNally wasn't to blame for that!
Yes, a lot of sense being posted by ILD etc as to why we got relegated, as with the exception of Brady and Jarvis, it was basically the same squad that got us relegated 2 seasons ago!!!!
Whilst I appreciate that we were a few weeks late in starting our player recruitment, to NOT recruit a proven striker and CB at the start of the season has resulted in our demotion. Speculating by spending say £20M - £30M then and we could have seen that investment repaid several times over.

The trouble is that whilst they far too late submitted to fan power on Hughton, they then made a staggeringly awful decision to appoint Adams. Now on face value Neil looked a good appointment when he got us promoted and I agree he was worth then a tilt at the PL. He has though fallen well short this season, recruitment was a failure but after plan A was exposed, there was no plan B. It is impossible to know that had we have replaced him in January that we would have survived, but an experienced head would have had a significantly better chance. All of this of course is said with the benefit of hindsight.
Now we are down, I think he should get a very limited window to prove that we are right to hold on to him next season. He simply must hit the ground running. Adams was kept on too long so I hope that the board have learnt for once and act quickly and decisively if we are outside of the top 6, or 5+ pts off the pace after 10 games. And whilst I still am just about in that supportive majority for Neil, I would imagine that that support will evapourate very quickly if we continue where we left off.

I´m just as amazed at some others on here as they apparently are, at me, what exactly did you expect me to do? stamp my feet and walk out in disgust, just because we again failed to hang on to our Premier League status, because that´s what it sounds like some of you might be contemplating. I can perfectly well understand our owners, if, after seeing us time and time again, fail to meet their and some of our expectations, if they decided to lower their crossbar of ambition. They, like us, are after all, only fans, who want the best for the club, the best,by the way, that is realistically achievable. I´m sure they´re as cheesed off as the rest of us, at how unsatisfactory our PL excursions have been. Have none of you really thought that perhaps they are beginning to see the writing on the wall, and have worked out that the best we can possibly hope for, in years to come, is the yo-yo existence we have recently been used to. - and before you all say ``Well they should get out then´ - just exactly why should they? They care about our club more than anyone on the planet, and they´ve done more than most on the planet to keep it afloat, they´ve every right to wait until the time they feel is right for selling, and to wait until they feel they´ve found the right buyer (if indeed that ever happens) before doing so.
If all of the above means that we visit Burton Albion, Rotherham and other such (apparently) undignitaries, then so be it, I can perfectly well accept it - and do you know why?
Because we have no other choice but to accept it, if you´re going to keep on supporting the club - if you´re not, then it doesn´t matter where we are. We fell short again, and visiting Man C, Chelsea and Arsenal, is off the agenda for now, so bring on Burton Albion and Rotherham. OTBC
