well lads this is getting a bit silly now. What people do in their private life should not affect how we view their opinions of stoke city.

You make reading sound so sordid! ;)

By the way, shouldn't the title of this thread be re: Death Note?

You're off to bed at 7.40!! ...are you sure you're not retired?

Don't tell me that you're one of those people who queue up outside M&S at 7am, waiting for it to open?

Bloody Hell L - now you are stalking me!!

Look, you and I are NEVER going to agree about anything except wanting what's best for Stoke, hopefully you would agree with that?

It is getting personal now and other posters are complaining, I have said to you recently, if you want to carry on in this vein, let's do it by PM.

I don't usually discuss anythimg with children but in your case I will make an exception.

    Your call

Starting your own thread in a pathetic attempt to belittle someone that doesn't agree with you.

Googling their username and pasting your discoveries off Wikipedia....

    .... and i'm the child?

I'm not interested in carrying on a petty school yard squabble via a PM system, it's... well pretty childish.

Can admin do everyone a favour and PLEASE lock this thread?

Yup time to stop, just thought I would try and speak some sense to you and stop boring other people.
Obviously not, cannot say I enjoy trying to get any sense from someone who names himself after some cartoon character - try Mickey Mouse.

Anyway Sgt and Potts, stop the thread and while your at it, ban this lunatic, cheers

Again, childish behaviour? You contradict yourself more and more with every post. It's quite remarkable.

also L isn't really a character, it's a pseudonym. I see that you're happy to cut and paste from wikipedia but not reading?

Well I must tell you, I ain't stopped laughing so as a comedy I rate it at least a four star show guys.
Nick, I think you SHOULD retire and continue with your 2nd interest in life, winding up guy's like Kodjak, SORRY Mr L go easy cos
if I laugh much more i will have too take some action. Like go see my doc for compulsive laugher pills <laugh>

    ON TOPIC right
I take it you were at the game last night L? And, that midfield was pretty average last night. How many times we gave the ball away.
HOW many times 2nd half did we just HOOF. HOW many times do we have too keep banging on about a decent midfield.

I think Whelan, Delap and Co should be made to retake their driving test. Just too see HOW many actually PASS.

It was a win and that's all it was. And, I don't rate Hadjuk on the evidence of what they did last night, in short not that much.

Don't let Nick get at ya L, he's avin a laugh and so am I <ok>

    ON TOPIC
I don't live in Stoke so it's quite difficult to get to the games these days, I actually thought that Delap played well and it was a great ball from him to set Ethers free for the goal.

The main thing for me was not conceding. Alright, we tired in the second half but the back stayed solid, no doubt some people will be screaming from the roof tops about what was on the bench and repeating themselves over and over about the same things, but we do our business last minute always have, it's not going to change it's actually the players that hold up the negotiations not us, we can't force people to sign for us.

Considering what we have it was a good result, pressure is on them in the away leg as they can't concede, if they do it's done basically. I've got faith in the team to get a result next week.

I agree with your coments above re Delap, it's a good result we didn't concede.
Didn't realise you live in S Africa? And I thought after your comments last night re another thread you were at the game.
It was actually very frustrating for me anyway, that both Delap and Whelan even more so won the ball. Which is what they are suppose to do I know.
But, on all but a few occasions they wasted it by simply sloppy passes which just put more pressure onto our defenders.

Although I aways KTF mate, I'm worried about the away leg now. Can't see us scoring over there which is all we need to do I think.
Much will depend on how T.P. set's up our team. IF we go for it we've a good chance as their defence ins't the best by a long way.
But, we need both wingers in their half, not ours to create for Jones and walter's. If we do park the bus don't put money on Hadjuk not scoring at least one goal.
Decent passing side but didn't show any real threat all night. I honestly think they would have taken a one nil loss too their place. Knowing that we will most probably sit back and play on the break.

Here's hoping we sign player's and sharpish. The bench last night L. apart from Whitehead came on not really worth a mention. NO strikers?

I think that the midfield will be the last position that Pulis will strengthen, simply because it will cost a lot of money to bring in a defensive playmaker of the caliber that we need to improve on what we have already. If it's true about Hargreaves and Stoke can get him fit and keep him injury free, that's a £20M player bought in for nothing.

We have a simple game plan for the game next week, Split have a lot to think about as even if they score two, Stoke only have to score once. They need to attack but they also need to be very wary at the back and they can't afford to give free kicks away, if we score from a set piece the tie is as good as over IMO.

I can understand your concerns about the bench, but id rather be in the situation we are now than still have Carew and Gudjonson hanging around.

I can still get pretty much every game over here on TV (no pundits!) and working for a sports channel also has its advantages....

Were Jerome and Dann at the Brit last night? I heard from an ex colleague who works for a Sports News channel in the UK and he seems to think that the Dann deal is not necessarily over....

I'm surprised that you watched the game live on t.v. over in South Africa as it wasn't show here, nor in Yugoslavia. Their fans were complaing before lasts nights game about it. And, they have sold out for the game over there.

Nope, didn't see Jerome or any other player linked with us. Jerome I don't want personally although tv said. Dann is 100% cert to leave Birmingham. Liverpool also intereted in him so I don't know.

I seem to remember a series on TV called Heroes.
One of the superheroes was a Japanese chap who could do the time travel/teleportion bit, just cannot remember his name!!

Serious question L, that's not you is it?? If so, how fantastic that is, you would never need a DVD recorder or Maytch of the Day.

It is no wonder that you are so informed.

I am not worthy El Suberbo
