Seriously, I am not being bitter. I really don't care who signs who at this point, all I want is for us to get a manager who knows what they are doing and then we are good to go. All I am saying is the man seems to have fallen a bit since his Dortmund days and two top managers have shunned him, there must be a reason for this, attitude problem maybe? Like I said previously I really liked him at Dortmund so have no problem with admitting he can be a great player or that Klopp could get him back to the level he had him at before in the same kind of system
Shunned is harsh though. He's at one of best teams in the world and behind arguably some of the best players in muller Ribery and Robben, S well as Costa who hit the ground running. Opportunities were limited because of competition not because he's a poor player. Sounds to me that with none of the above going opportunities would be limited again an he sounds like he has been told he's free to go find first team football if he wants to. Different from 2 managers saying, nah your ****, we're getting rid of you a sap.
You could well be right, but given his age I would have thought they bought him with an eye on replacing players like Ribery and Robben (both very injury prone and getting older every day) but it looks like they think he is not capable of that. Two years ago I would have been delighted if we were linked to him, now I would wonder why he was for sale.
Ooops, Chelsea have been told by incoming Bayern Munich boss Carlo Ancelotti they can have Mario Gotze for £35m.
So you question every players ability when the club looks to sell them? Did you question the quality of Sanchez, Ozil and Di Maria when they left Real Madrid and Barcelona?
If the player is not on the radar of United,in Diego's opinion "can any good thing come out of Nasareth?"
I'll be honest, Gotze is as exciting as it is likely to fail.. One of best young players in the world during his Dortmund time, was decent in his first season at Bayern, which ended with him scoring the winning goal in the World Cup. But, since then he's had form and fitness issues and since his return, not been able to force his way back into the team. Granted, Bayern aren't short of a few world class players, but to not get anywhere near the starting 11 more often than not is a concern.. Was it simply a case of Pep no longer fancying him? Could Klopp get him back to his pre-world 14 form, if so, then we've a player, if not, we may have a dud!
for the sake of £20 mill that is allegedly being quoted, worth the risk in my opinion. whats the worst case scenario, he is still a better dud than the ones we already have. plus it shows to others the clubs intentions, what does buying players like henderson, allen, lovren, lallana, migs etc show, not great is it.

The honest truth of my opinion on gotze is this. The guy is following in the footsteps of michael ballack nicely. He is going to go where he feels like to make the most money possible. We can believe lines about working with managers all we like but the reality will be if anyone offers him more wages he will go there. The only certain thing is he's gone and done his bayern time, bayern want a fee not another guy leaving them on a free so he's been shoved out. After that he could literally go anywhere If LFc have any hope of it then it will be if a) we win europa. b) we offer 150k min per week.. prob more like 180k. c) we pay bayern what they want not what we think we can poor mouth about d) we offer these fees before euros start and tie it up.
