Things seem to be moving quickly today..........wonder if this means Dortmund are losing one of their front three
Hyypia been sacked of Zurich after they finished last (although has got them to cup final). His managerial record is pretty shoddy... Wonder if he fancies job as a coach instead? Or maybe even a game at CB
ehhhhh... well no thanks... he's not had a good time as a manager so as a coach? well he needs to prove himself as a coach and all after this. not going to well for him.
if the guy was signalling clearly where he was going to... plus he's 18. It was a guy who was just in right position where we are weak but if he's saying I'm going to dortmund then its better we know now not in late july and offer klop a choice of downing back or buying joey barton.
You win some you lose some. If Dortmund have wrapped it this early and with our interest only just being made (I only heard we were interested yesterday), I should think Dortmund have been working on this for a little while. Looks less like 'lost out' and more like somebody had already made a move. German teams have got the right idea, get your summer transfers sorted before the season finishes. Players have more time to settle, don't have to scramble round for last minute deals, don't get screwed over because of desperation and you cover the areas that you actually need to cover. You can always buy later if someone becomes available.
the dembele stuff was known a few weeks back? supposedly klopp talked to him.. supposedly ranieir did too. I think hummels transfer has but 50 mil or whaever in their pockets and they've moved fast. they've tried to get gundogan to sign up again due to this knee injury... LFC will need to get on with it and i fully expect to hear ayre has gone on hols once the parade of the trophy (jinx) is out of the way.
Reds confident of signing Mario Gotze Liverpool remain confident they can lure Mario Gotze to Anfield this summer after Bayern Munich made it known the midfielder will be leaving the Bundesliga champions. Jurgen Klopp has been courting his former protégé since it became apparent the 23-year-old would be seeking a fresh challenge ahead of the start of next season. German media last night reported that incoming Bayern manager Carlo Ancelotti has informed Gotze he can go. His contract expires at the end of next season, 2017, which means his valuation is currently around £20 million. Gotze has indicated he will make his decision after the European Championships, with his former club Borussia Dortmund and Juventus also trailing him. Dortmund fans have not taken so kindly to the prospect of the player’s return, with their rivalry with Munich intensifying now Mats Hummels has become the latest to leave them for the champions. The personal relationship between Klopp and Gotze could prove crucial for a deal that would be seen as a bargain given the calibre of the man who scored the winning goal in the last World Cup. Gotze has been a priority signing for Klopp since he became aware of his availability. Speaking last month, the Liverpool manager would not be drawn on the pursuit of the player he managed at Borussia Dortmund beyond acknowledging the pain he felt when he sold him to his Bundesliga rivals in 2013. He refrained from elaborating on whether Gotze is in talks to move to Merseyside, but said: “It is easy to know I like Mario Gotze. It was not the best day in my life when I heard he was going to Bayern Munich. “I have known him since he was 16. That is a long trip but he is still a young player. I know him better than other players, that is right. That is the only difference to all the other players around. “I would never say anything about a transfer, whether we are interested or not. It is not important. I speak to you about transfers when they are done and not before. It is all rumours, speculation and I have nothing to say about things like this. We can talk two hours about Mario Gotze but it would not change a per cent whether he comes here or goes wherever.” http://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/media-watch/221149-reds-confident-of-signing-mario-gotze
Get it close to £30m. Thing is, I think he'll thrive there... they will play to his strengths. He's a better version of Carroll and you can see how dangerous Carroll is at times. I'd much rather try sell abroad for £25m to be honest.
Klopp has taken a second member of Bayern Munich’s backroom staff, with leading dietician Mona Nemmer moving to Anfield this summer.
Does it not bother any of you that 2 of the games top managers (Guardiola and Ancelotti) have told Gotze he is not good enough and can leave?
