At the time I was a bit surprised it wasn't an Eterna. Thought it would have been a bit of a smack in their face, seeing as their movements are probably superior. Then I noticed that they don't seem to be one of the club sponsors anymore. Must have a look at the stadium clock, to see if their name is on it still.

As for finding out which watch it was, click on the Youtube video and it'll start. Then move it to the bit where they present the watch [near the end]. Nice close-up.

Nought out of ten for observation, the Eterna clock has been absent for a long time!

Yep, guilty. When did they cease being official timekeepers then.?

EDIT: Never mind. I checked. The clock face was there at the end of last season. Not at the beginning of this one.

To my knowledge at no time was the end of the Sponsorship ever officially notified anywhere, Google searches proved fruitless.

So you've done some too. Yeah, my searches got the same result. Plenty of articles about the announcement, but zero on any withdrawal of sponsorship. However, eventually I decided to simply type Southampton FC current sponsors list into Google and this came up:

They're not in the list. So that must be it. We won't be able to depend on the time anymore. ;)

Mané was noticeable by his absence last night. No interview, screen time or even mention.

Think you might be reading too much into that. They didn't interview many of the players who struggle with English on the night.

The club might release it as a separate video, but on the live awards video from 1hr 20mins is a nice little talking heads video with most of the squad. It's typical light questions..."who's the most intelligent? "who are the best couple?" "who has the worst banter?" but it's pretty entertaining

Yeah, I enjoyed that too.

Well I believe I have your answer for you. It appears that Sadio has been a bit ill in the last few days, according to a previewer of the Palace match. Where he/she got the info from, I've no idea, but I'm grateful.

So get well young Sadio. Need you up and at 'em.

Sadio was subbed last game because he wasn't feeling very well, thought it might have been dehydration but perhaps it was something else?
