Yeah, final ball could improve. A little selfish perhaps? Stuff that can be worked on anyway

    Gotze could be nice addition..
But what has been evident this season is pace is lacking on the wings.
Ojo and Ibe have pace and power but are young, raw and need quite a bit of work!
We need a quick, tricky winger with good end product to compliment our 10s and Striker(s)

    Agreed.

I maintain that Markovic could play an important role next season, and it will certainly help that he'll have fellow compatriot Buvac coaching him

Stylistically, he's perfect for the left side AM.

He started well at fernabache but injuries stagnated that progress. Was a stupid decision to loan him out.

yes it was a silly decision.

we could all be reconciled to him leaving rather than debate this all summer.

It is patently obvious that in a 4-2-3-1 we are well short of players i nthe line of 3.

Rogers took an idiotic decision based on having not wanted him ever that cos there was not enough slots in the europa squad (due to his lack of club trained players) he could have had markovic wide as rogers himself could not decide if he was playing a 433 or a 4231.

In any event markovic.... he's shown no desire when rogers left to make a positive sounds about his lfc career so no commitment to the cause there...

Not sure Markovic is the answer but if Klopp and his team can get him playing to his potential then who knows..
He's quick yes, but tricky, not sure and end product, not seen much of that either..

Although he doesn't look very good to me, he certainly deserves a chance to show that he can step up. We need to get rid of some deadwood and bring in fresh players, I think we should assess him during pre-season and see if he's up to the job.

Lets look at the issue seriously.

Coutinho, firmino, lallana.. none deliver the ball quick.. all want a dribble and a pass when they can go no further. they are all interchangeable and work the press well when they are actually trying to. All are inconsistent and the level drops of after a midweek game. All are decent technical players

What are alternatives? Milner? he crosses it. he can make a yard of space... he's not got much space and sturrgles to get to the pitch of the game high up at times. but he's a real worker too.

Markovic for maybe 10 games looked at wingback like he'd got that trier atttitude but then it vanished like rogers made him sulk... thats not the way.. then he ran off when rogers said time would be limited.. can't really blame him but its also not the way to succeed as we've seen a lot of players do it and do nothing... but his mouth was balotelli like..

Ibe... no brain it seems. got pace, got phsyique but is a head down merchant who doesn't actually make much.

Ojo.. 18, slight, not up to playing a full 90 in the prem.. but has made 4/5 goals albeit indirectly on 2... he's contributed more than ibe has lately.

Origi wide? klopp played Auba wide for 2 years while he had lewandowski.... he could play origi similalry... or force sturrdige wide

Klopp has put guys at no 10, tried others on the wings but it looks strongly to me like one of our ossies going forward will be genuine lack of options in this area and as a result I think we will see klopp buy here.

Up front its healthier for one spot he's got 4 players. if one goes he can replace but he doesn't need to do much.

Disagree on Coutinho and Firmino - Firmino in particular always looks to play quickly.

Lallana is the biggest culprit of dwelling on the ball, painfully slow.

Coutinho needs to sort his form out - he's been poor for a little while now.

Not sure if Markovic is the answer but he should be given a chance. Still very young and has a lot of potential, plus he's the type of player we need next year. Him and Dembele rotating on that left side.

    Exciting summer ahead.

German paper, Kicker says Liverpool and Juventus are interested in Gotze, who could leave for €20-25m. Would be a great deal if we secure him for that price.

Goetze is a quality player so wouldn't turn him down, just doesn't add the pace that were severely lacking but the fact Klopp used him to great effect, if he's trying to recreate a similar style then you'd think he should wbe able to fit in well

Not only that, he's a big name signing. He could potentially attract other quality players to sign, or help to retain our existing talent.

firmino and coutinho try but we are 8th in table for a reason... they can do it sometimes but nobody can do it all the time. consistency is simply not there.

did you see much of anything out of firmino yesterday?

lallan picked it up for about oh 20mins second half after a rocket at HT.

We're 8th because of our defence and midfiekd. We have given away winning positions a lot of times this season.

Our attack has been the one bright spark of this season.

Pains me to do so, but Jimmy's got a point.
Had we defended our leads better or not given away silly goals through silly mistakes by our defence/goalie, IF/BUT/COULD/WOULD I Know.. BUT we would be a fair few points better off..
Not saying we have a championship winning striker force (its not far off) but our Midfield for the most part and defence is very midtable!

in 2106 not in 2015.... we must think holistically.

its improved lately but before that it was a big struggle... we need more competition in that line of 3.
