Will SB ever sign ricardo fuller?
It seems sunderland are looking to pay less than originally thought.

hopefully not. ok on his day, but not good enough for a team hoping to stay in the top six. rather have sess and muntari playing behind gyan in a 4-5-1 until welbeck returns.

    No thanks.

Apart from the fact that Pulis is a twat with his pathetic use of the media to try to drive up the price of a decent but crocked player buying Fuller would be a short term solution leaving long term problems. He is never going to be a regular starter and would want top dollar in wages to move.

This is the real issue I have with Bent - it's no that he went it is the manner of his going. If he had a shread of respect for the club or the fans he would have worked with SB and NQ to smooth the transition rather than doing a runner when we only had one fit striker. It doesn't take a genius to work out that clubs and players will think we are desperate and hold out for silly money in transfers and wages for a move here.

I know it is a gamble but I'd stick with what we have, keep fingesr crossed that Gyan stays fit and Wellbeck is back sooner rather than later as some have predicted. Worst comes to the worst we still have an international striker available in Healy - he hasn't exactly set the world alight here but again he has never had the chance.

lets hope he's injury free till then, cos we aint got no one to fill the gap, unless you fancy healy to finally get a go, or titus

Fuller is undoubtedly a good player, but the fact is that he is the wrong side of thirty and with injury problems to boot. For these reasons, the prices that have been mentioned are way over the top.

Not a bad option as far as i am concerned, gets us out of a hole and Gyan hasn't exactly been fit every week since he arrived, always has some knock or other.

Get him in, it's another option.

I simply cannot believe that SB will risk going into the next 5-6 games with only Gyan fit. God forbid, but what do we do if Gyan gets injured on Tuesday night? Go with Healy up front on his own against the likes of Spurs, Arsenal and Everton? I don't think so!

We all know what goes on in football. If you were the manager of a team and knew that your next opponents only had one fit striker, would you get your team to target that forward, knowing that there was no sub striker of any use available?

IMHO It would be utter madness to even consider it!

Hes a decent impact player IMO, but not a long term solution.

I think we have played our best footy using the 4-5-1 formation. Gyan has proved he is immense in that role and the new lads (hopefully) will give us fiurther attacking options using this formation

Do we really need another crock? at this stage of the season we need stability not another player who will spend more time on the treatment table. Forget him and go with his other options, whoever they are.

agree 100% don't really think he would bring what we need, we are streets ahead of where he is as a player now
