Leicester were the only team that didn't bottle it , every " Big and Medium " team , as it turned out , had a chance to take the title . 80 points for first place is low and still 10 points ahead of 2nd place which is also low .
65 points for a Champions League spot has to be a record .
Although Leicester did very well , a lot of teams didn't

In a wild and wacky way , I guess I am .
It was a season of inches and all the close games seem to be wanted more by the Foxes than anyone .
Another big thing half the way through or so was you slowed down the opposition from scoring , it was massive to you're success IMO

I think that's it. The reason for the relatively low scores of the sides at the top of the table is the increased competitiveness of the P.L.

There really are very few, if any, 'easy' games for any side anymore. If the new Sky money is going to level the playing field even more, then we can expect to see more seasons like this one.

Not surprisingly I agree ... the days have gone where 2/3rds of the league has sides containing considerable numbers of journeymen ... Stoke, perhaps more than anyone, have shown this with the signings of Affelay, Bojan and Shaqiri ...

This was a freak season tbh. Leicester fluked the title, congats and all that...

The only way this season will become slightly less freakish is if Liverpool win a major European trophy.

... on the contrary ...that would prove your point.. mid table also rans over performing in a cup competition... very reminiscent of Fulham and Middlesbro' in the same competition... :)

Leicester winning the title and Spurs (potentially) finishing 2nd is enough to prove this was a freak season, Fossy :)
