Like others I was very impressed by her acting in Game of Thrones. Maybe some day you will visit her in Hollywood.
Did you watch it? Khan basically did what Khan does best. Start of loads of little jabs so Canelo couldn't do anything. Then lost his head and game plan yet again when he thought he was on top.
Slightly harsh, was always going to be a massive task to go 12 rounds without getting clocked by one of the biggest punchers at a weight a couple above what you are used to.
Slightly harsh, but true. Even Lennox Lewis said the same. Khan stopped the little jabs which gave Canelo time to wind up the big punch.
I think he only stopped the jabs for the 6th round because he had the cut and wanted to get through it without making the cut worse, giving his corner some time to work on it again. Obviously it didn't work out, but I don't think the tactics were the issue, just came across a fighter who was too big and powerful, and a lot better at actual boxing than people give him credit for for someone as small as Khan to deal with.
Don't think he will fight Brook for awhile. Too much of a risk. Khan has spent ages getting to the point of getting huge fights, this one was a bit of a win/win for him as nobody expected him to win, but if he somehow did then he would be set in terms of getting any fight he wanted. If he fights Brook and loses then that would signal the end for him at the top level. Brook needs to win couple more against decent fighters to work his way up and get a bigger following, especially in America. Think Khan goes for someone like Spence or at a push Thurman next, if he loses that then he might take Brook straight after as he would be on the way down and it would be a huge payday over here.
It may happen, welterweight is pretty stacked so there are a lot of possibilities, just don't think Brook is one of them yet.
what a glorious day it's been. Bbq lunch, Saints win, then posing down Brighton seafront on my motorbike. All downhill from now though, I have to do kids baths. I hate bath time.
Before anyone mentions it [LTL], yes I missed today's French MotoGP at Le Mans. Jorge won it with Valentino coming second. Marc Marquez fell off, remounted and came in 13th. Just unlucky, I guess. I'll see if I can catch some highlights.
still the YZF R125. I lost a bit of heart in the winter, tried and failed to sell, so just decided to enjoy it again.
