No we wouldn't on today's performance we could well be heading back to league 1. We certainly didn't display the sort of fight that will be needed to get out of the Championship next year.

Maybe not a total clear out, but pretty much the whole of the defence and our entire strike force

If Bassong has been paid to give away goals and pens this season I would not be surprised.
    Pens for 1 against 9.
At least 10 goals by him by ridiculous error.
I expected it today and he delivered.

Adams was right about Bassong. Best place for him is somewhere else

I can't even get upset about it now.

You can't go on every week hoping other clubs are going to be worse than us. It simply won't happen. We are complete dross.

Mbokani is a joke, all he does is fall over trying to get free kicks. A lot of people blaming Jerome, at least he had an attempt saved, Mbokani should be in the Olympic diving team.
Redmond is also a joke, what was he doing today? I counted 4 challenges he chickened out of, couldn't get a cross in, and spent most of the game just ambling around with his arms by his side. I would quite happily kick his Arse out of the club myself.
Ruddy has become a parody of himself, his kicking is piss poor, spent most of the game watching and not getting in position, dropped a cross that was so easy to catch a 5 year old would have done better. All in all another disgraceful performance when we needed to turn up and didn't! The manager has to take responsibility for the way we play, it's nothing to do with the board, or anyone else, he doesn't have a plan A let alone a plan B. Fans like myself turn up every week and every week we get a slap in the face and a crap performance, stuff the fluffin clappers they don't work, **** asking for us to cheer and sing it doesn't work. ITS NOT OUR FAULT. Get rid of the joke of a manager and his back room team, bring in the boys out on loan, stop buying crap players.
    Going to get drunk now!

<laugh> Agree with all of that mate except the bit about the board, McNally can't keep living off past glories. He's just as culpable as AN if not more so. His recent player recruitment has been laughable, trying to everything on the cheap and it's come back to bite him on his arse. As I said on another thread, you can't make a silk purse out of a Sow's ear.

P.S. I especially agree about the getting pissed bit <cheers>

Not long home from watching one of the poorest games of the season and some have been pretty poor to say the least. I thought several of our players looked absolutely shattered for the last 15 minutes or so and feel that there must be something wrong with our training regime.
I've no idea what has happened to ManUre, but should they qualify for the CL, unless a miracle happens, they won't get past the first round and I think it will take more than a change of manager to change their fortunes.
I thought Rooney was hopeless today, but I guess he'l still go to the Euros and most probably start ahead of Vardy/Kane!!! <doh>

Oh well, bring on the Championship for a few seasons!!

Edit - let's hope we use our time in the Championship to build a team capable of surviving in the PL when we next get back there. I'd advocate giving some of our loanees a chance to see what they can do and I read a post earlier about who to get rid of and have to say that I pretty much agree with it. If Pearson wasn't likely to go to Villa, I'd quite like to see him come here.

Sadly before most matches I now roll a die. Even number means Bassong ****s up and costs us the game and odd number means Ruddy ****s up and costs us the match. After that I get a second die and then if I roll a double six we score. I am killing the bookies using this system!

As for the Jerome miss God knows how he managed to put a free header straight at the keeper when either side and he scores.

How is it Brady who has been our best player this season is hooked off after an hour again and Redmond with zero end product stays on? How is Bamford considered more of a threat than Naismith? I would also prefer to see Jerome play centre half than the utterly hapless Bassong who should just be dropped from the squad. Bring in one of the under 21 side play my mum but Bassongs inability to concentrate for a full matches is pathetic. Ruddy is a parady of himself shouting at the defence and then scared to come for crosses and with new improved Teflon gloves and as for his kicking....

Can't say they don't deserve it though, having the ambition and sense to bring in players like Kazhri and Defoe whilst we end up with Naismith...

Yes, if we'd been prepared to gamble just a little of our wealth, we could have bought Afobe - it was certainly worth the risk in my view and instead we got Mbokani, who as others have said spends more if his time falling over.
Looking like it may well be Newcastle joining us in the Championship next season!!!
