    According to legend......

Adolf Hitler "Rumoured to have lived in Dingle in the early twenties, was supposed to be that fond of the Blues that he watched them regularly and was a big fan of the dangerous 'Dixie Dean', who inspired early thoughts of aerial bombardment. Also the Observer / Independent wrote a ditty on Everton a few years ago regarding Hitler, saying "the most hated man in the world followed the Blues." Well, let's hope his penchant for red had him leaning the other way!"

Arsenal or Chelsea, I'd agree. But I get enough **** in the gym now about how superior Spanish football is. Two bloody all Spanish finals and they'll be unbearable! :(

next season is a complete unknown if ya ask me, city new manager, chavs new manager, utd probs new manager, klopps with some signings , you lot with some additions, goons stay the same but it may not be enough for top 4 next year, then you got west ham, saints, everton and everyone else with at least 20/30m in the bank for transfers which if spent well can win them the lge so say the foxes <laugh>, total unknown and quite exciting.

It does shape up to be by far the most unpredictable year in PL history, and therefore the most exciting. Can Guardiola build another league winner? Is Liverpool finally on he right track? Could there be another surprise package? Will the door hit Chelsea stars in the ass on their way out?

If this year has taught us anything, it’s that big spending doesn’t mean half as much as a good plan and the right team carrying it out. That may be a vote in favor of Ranieri, Pochettino, Klopp, Guardiola and a few others. We’ll have to see if Mahrez and perhaps Kante stay at Leicester, though. The idea with Chelsea is that a man convicted of doing nothing to prevent players losing matches for money will be able to motivate a bunch of players who find money insufficient reason to try to win them. I’m skeptical.

    <laugh> well put.

With all respect to Leicester and it seems odd that i would say this about the current league champs (<laugh>@the chavs) but i think they will struggle a bit in the lge next year, i have a feeling they may surprise a few in the cl but lge wise they will find it hard to win games with teams giving them the respect of champions and the rigours of european games inbetween, plus as you say they may lose a few key stars or upset the balance with new additions. its just a hunch really but id go for anywhere from 15/7th next year for them.

couldnt agree more though its very exciting looking toward next years prem race, take your pick of around 8 teams that could win it

  18. This is hardly controversial, though. I have devoted an entire thread to this subject.

  19. I think teams have learned that spending big money on prima donnas is not the way to go.

Headlines from BBC Sport this morning

Jurgen Klopp remains on course for silverware in his first season in charge after Liverpool beat Villarreal to reach the Europa League final.

Sevilla remain on course to win a record third consecutive Europa League title after they beat Shakhtar Donetsk to set up a final against Liverpool.

I haven't seen such lazy writing since I gave up and stopped watching The Walking Dead a couple of seasons back.
