I never bought in to Ceballos. Not sure why so many fans were excited by him. Spurs - a team notorious for fielding youngsters in cups - didn't play him once in 3-4 years. They started Mason how many times last year, and he's pony!
From what I can remember @SuperChrissyisfantasticPardswasatrocious people got excited as we signed someone from a club we've all heard of. I've got no idea what team people like Motta, Fanni, etc came from. Or people like Polish Pete, and the rest. Downside when you follow a pedigree league (inc. all our professional ones), you don't cast down the list of two bit unheard of ones, that are not final 16 champions league.
I couldn't even have named one Belgian team before Roland took over, and then again I only know three (Gent, Liège and only heard of STVV Sint Truiden after a bunch of people protested there).
Sad thing is I love Belgium as a country Brussels is a great city and Tintin is Belgian hate fact Roland has tainted the country !!!
I like the chocolates too. This brand Leonidas is super tasty. Freshly made and far superior to Cadburys. Not to mention the beer. Never really been a follower of international club football. Not enough hours in the day for me to keep up with our current events, what with work and jet setting over the globe many times a year. Plus, apart from the Anglo-Italian cup when I was a youngster, don't think we've play competitively against a European team.
I went to see Kilmarnock play them in the old Fairs City Cup. Killie won 7-2, Jackie McInally, father of Alan, the pundit, scored a hat-trick before getting sent off for fighting.
