We've only lost once at home this season in the League.

I can't remember a season when we were undefeated at home- so I assume this is as good a season as any form-wise, unless of course our fans are now so spoilt that they demand winning and entertaining football.
I just don't get this 'entertainment' fad at all - where does it come from ? A nightly diet of top-drawer Euro football?
You are never likely to get the same type of football fix when you have to pay £30 to watch second tier football and see City play the likes of Wolves or Brentford, or another of the many teams who have parked the bus here this season (hello BHA & SWFC) in temperatures barely above zero.
For all the appalling ****ups of the Allams and their antagonistic policies, we would still have a proportion of fickle, leave-before-the-end, bloody-rubbish-City types even if were in the CL.
We shouldn't let the Allams distract us from this fact. (Just read some of the negative ****e posted on this forum)

As long as you believe this **** you'll be okay. It's bollocks, but crack on.

I'm sorry, but people are kidding themselves if they think that, in competition with Leeds United, we would make inroads into what has traditionally been their catchment area. Sadly, next season, we probably will be in more direct competition with them, battling it out for 11th and 12th places...

Face it; we're not 'massive' and we never will be.

There is certainly more substance to what you say, although much is just opinion. Your basic argument, about not filling 30K+, is flawed, as you take out good marketing, which is what Hul City has never had under the Allams.

It really should be recognised that our attendances are what they are because of the inept commercial management of the club, not the inept management of the team, that just frustrates us.

Fair comment, but surely, if we're the 'sleeping giant' that many seem to think, we'd be pulling in great support no matter what the management situation? I'm not saying the marketing at the club isn't crap, but I'm suggesting that we just don't have the dedicated support, in numbers, that some people think.

First you build a customer base and hope that it becomes supportive, then you just keep building with positives!

Let's say that we are down to 15K attendance, get 2K to bring a friend, get 1K to bring a youngster; we are at 18K. Charge a fair price for attendance, stop abusing the support, get some real supporter group backing for the team and do it with full club cooperation. Get the HDM, RH, Uncle Tom ... everyone and anyone to be positive about going to Hull City. Bring back the ones who have walked away over the last two years - 25K+ is very achievable, 33K is a great target to have, but for that the KCOM needs the capacity.

I don't support Sunderland but I know many who do and they are buying season tickets again. Never say never in football, as the telly has caused damage, but it is also keeping it bang in their gaze and buffering streams just don't do it for most.

Theyve got to get into all the Primary schools in East Yorkshire and get the Kids from age 5/6 in City before they drift off the other clubs.
Of course we wont get all of them there will always be parents forcing their kids into glamour clubs but we'll get a fair few.

All it takes is a businessman, a marketing professional and a bit of gumption - but I know I'll get accused of guessing again. :emoticon-0105-wink:
