Was a cracking player in 2006 World Cup and is on trial following release from Real Betis if he can get fit would love him here. http://www.rangers.co.uk/articles/20110728/odonkor-in-gers-trial_2254024_2404264
He was always injured at Betis and hardly got a decent run in the team. Plus they were on a downward spiral when he signed. Doubt you can judge the guy on his time there too much. He was class in the Bundesliga. No harm in a trial and then a 6 month deal to prove himself. That's win/win for Rangers and the player.
How would a trial and a 6 month contract be a win win situation. If he gets injured as is usual, how would it be a win win for Rangers. Other clubs would just have as much intelligence as Rangers and have obviously decided not to go that road.
I've always thought of this guy as a right footed Lovenkrands. Very quick, but lacking in technical ability.
I would say the same ML11. The guy is a complete speed merchant, but never looked as though he really knew what to do with the ball when he got onto it. His pace breaking forward might be something that suited Rangers away in europe though, meaning davis could move inside to the centre?
If he is ****ed completely that will show in the trial. If not whats the harm in a pay as you play deal for these types of players. He has talent so if he can get fit winner If he gets ****ed first time out - cheerio son
I used to buy odonkor as a youngster on Champ about 6 year ago. he was quite decent we all know that's a good judge of player
If he's fit, give him a go. Sign him up on a pay as you play deal and just cross our fingers he doesn't turn out like Jerome Rotten! please log in to view this image
