Apparently done deal today will be joining for the start of pre season. Never heard of him myself my son says he is a battler with a bit of nous. Anyone else heard the same and is he any good?
 
Think he's your stereotypical box to box hard man no thrills midfielder. Think of Vidal but probably less impressive
 
Don't know an awful lot about him but he sounds like the sort of player we need. Would add a bit more energy and pace to our current midfield that's for sure.

Well he plays in the position I identified as our weak spot last summer, next to Matic, box to box midfielder role that we have had Oscar or Mikel playing in.
Oscar needs to be further forward, and Mikel needs to be further away from Stamford Bridge, preferably in France or somewhere.
So I like this news, he plays in what I feel is our weakest position, so if he is good, then this is great news!
Never heard of him though I must admit.
 
Did a bit of research and it looks like a "run of the mill" signing, then again, Kante' for Leicester was also. If he is as half as good as him then good job. Conte is about the best we could have got and was not on my (very limited) radar for sure, I think we may have been lucky to get him under the circumstances. As of the Italian connection then great we seem to have done well with them in the past. FORZA AZZURRI!!!!
 
6m for Kante as a run of the mill signing is a decent price though. We're speaking upwards of 25 for this guy so i hope he's a bit more than that!
