The photo of The Legends....that's what happens when you've been a fan for 60 years.I only recognize a few!!!!!
Pat hasn't changed ,apart from a bit of grey.
I can just see him in his first Spurs match, catching the ball in the air with one hand and winning the fans over.
.....and his wedding day. This big tall Irishman and his tiny, but beautiful, singing Irish wife.
I even remember Pat losing it wanting to punch some one (Leeds?), but he wasn't like that.
......and the day he was let go to the bloody Arsenal! I felt as though I had lost a brother! They thought Barry Daines was much younger and almost as good!!!! Some hopes.Thank the Lord Liverpool wanted to shift their goalkeeper......
One of my favorite memories of big Pat that one at Leeds..... Those nasty ****ers had been at their worst the whole game and Mick Jones the CF decided to stand in front of Pat at a corner and tread back on his foot (and maybe elbowed him too). Anyways the next minute Jones is pole axed on the deck and Pats looking as innocent as ever..... I still believe to this day that the ref saw the whole incident and decided justice had been served. <laugh>

The Leeds shenanigans that annoyed me the most was their tactics when they had a free kick: just before the kick was taken, one of their players would start tangling with one of our defenders directly in front of the goalkeeper, obscuring his line of vision - as you can see in this video

You must log in or register to see media

What made that tactic more annoying is the fact it worked against us two seasons in a row.

Ronnie Corbett was a member at The Addington IIRC...... The most exclusive of private clubs.

Yes,chyna.Did she die of aids due to those porno films she starred in? My,she had some muscles!

Terrty Wogan....I remember I drove to Munich via Dover Ferry one year in the late 70's.I was listening to one radio station and I swear he followed me all the way....and never lost his voice!
I'm feeling much better now!!!!

Don't get me wrong, it's sad for anyone to pass away at 57, and I've nothing against Prince. But I just don't get these legend / superstar labels and have been listening to tributes all morning and a lot of his songs. I also understand it's a personal thing, but it seems that some of the true superstars are more self-evident than Prince. Perhaps it's the wrong day for such analysis but sometimes it seems that when the media latch onto something, we're all expected to think the same thing. Anyway, RIP Prince.

Fully agree. I get he was very popular, but did nothing for me above a few tunes that I liked. Might as well say Suggs is a legend. Affected more by Victoria Wood, cause I loved her comedy. Bowie was a genuine legend. It comes down to being sad if you admired them, and an irrelevance if you didn't.
That said, sad when anyone dies at 57 (or 62) but people die that age and younger every day, and you can't mourn everyone.
