I think he's figured it out. Manchester United Louis van Gaal says his side "have to score more goals" following their 2-0 win over Crystal Palace, which moves them within one point of the top four.
Typical delusional RS fans. As soon as their mid table team wins a few matches, they are 'wondering ' aloud whether they can get a CL place. They ask the question and answer it themselves. If there is a championship for delusion, they'll win it hands down.
We'll qualify the hard way by winning some hard earned European silverware. Enjoy the 4th place trophy (this years Arsenal).
More deserving imo. Not only cos of them having less money but also because they have actually taken a few scalps this season. Spurs win the "we battered more small clubs" trophy, but the only club in the top seven that they have a positive record against this season is City. Putting three or four goals past relegation candidates is no use if you can only manage two draws against Liverpool and Arsenal, a win and a loss against us and West Ham, and draws against Chelsea, Everton, Stoke and others. Not to mention Leicester beating Spurs at WHL of course.
I'll be honest, it's very possible. Lets break this down... Spurs need to catch 5 points on Leicester United need to catch 2 points on City. Or United need to catch 4 points on Arsenal. Liverpool need to catch 5 points on United. IMO (watching all the teams atm) any one of those is as likely as the others.
Liverpool need to catch five points on Utd with a game in hand, superior goal difference and a piss easy run in. In all seriousness, I'd say that's the most likely of all the ones you've listed, followed by us catching City or Arsenal (Arsenal most likely imo), followed by Spurs catching Leicester. All we have to do is draw against West Ham or Leicester and it's all in Liverpool's hands.
Very true Swarbs. I don't think they can get top 4 though. Ironically we have more chance than them of getting top 4, but they have more chance of finishing above us. Go figure that one out!! All hail Van Gaal!!
You can't deny it's objectively true tho'. None of your games offer anything more than a token challenge, except maybe Newcastle and that's at home. Whereas we have to play the potential champions, European chasers in West Ham, and Norwich away (couldn't even beat them at home). When you consider current form, I can't honestly see us not dropping points in our last four games, and can't see your lot dropping any. The only questions really are whether you will conspire to shoot yourselves in the foot as you usually do, and which of us will be more distracted by the cup semi and potential final.
It's pretty easy - we have more chance of top four because if we win all our games we can exceed 70 points whereas they can't and I can't see Arsenal and City failing to get to 70 points. They have more chance of finishing above us because Louis Van Genius guarantees we won't win all our games. QED
Sky is just shocked we're not insecure like the incumbents are about their club on the Liverpool board
Tbh I expected us to lose to Bournemouth as we're using our kids/fringe players in the league so it seems (bar Everton, but that's expected). I can't see it happening at all. Clearly our best shot is to win the EL. I honestly don't see why we won't either. Our team look well up for it - even the die hard Mancs must acknowledge that. Quite simply - We're going to have an amazing end to the season. Or we're all going to be in total meltdown all summer.
If we finish 5th - and Liverpool finish 4th AND win the paint trophy, doesn't that mean we grab the 5th CL spot that is available to the FA
We won't win the paint trophy because we're not in the paint trophy. We're challenging for European glory (again)
