You bought can for 10m, alberto for 7m, dunno how much dor illori but guessing in the millions and joe gomez for 3.5m. What 5m on a young english attacking talent that is showing the world how good he is
but did they demand a lot of game time?

Shelvey and gomzy both were 3-4 mil
so IMO 5mil for alli was not a big amount but someone at lfc screwed the pooch big time.

if i remember from memory it was only me and gerrez who was pissed we didnt go for eriksen, so we all ruddy guess how good someone is going to be esp when young, like i said rhodes saha, ince, barkeley,stones etc etc same has been said about them at one point, none of them have done much to my knowledge.

Lol fans will cry about giving young players big contracts so early but now upset that we didn't give a league 1 youngster £30k to join.
He wasn't on 30k til this january. He was on 10k according to MITO.
Not sure he's guaranteed game time? They might have said verbally to him but i doubt it's in the contract. If it is, sources please.
With respect to if he was ****, that is all ifs buts and maybes, the reality is he is a good player at the moment with bundles of potential. At the very worse, he's helped spurs to a league position of 2nd and Spurs could probably sell him for +25m to make a profit.

Unfortunately we didn't go for him. You could also say chelsea selling De Bruyne at the time was a good deal or us buying Torres was a good deal at the time. That's just wishful thinking as both deals were terrible in hindsight. Unfortunately for you guys Alli was the one who got away even though he was so close to signing for you guys.
The point isn't who thought he was good back then. Its that now if you could go back in time, would you buy him for 5m and the answer would be yes cause that is a bargain price
