For the meal that I ate at 1pm I had tomato soup.

Steak for the meal I intend to eat some time between now and bed <ok>

Lasts ages up in North East Scotland.

Provided you can light your BBQ in a force 8 gale, the resulting airflow means you can cook stuff in half the time <ok>

    4 quail eggs for breakfast
Leek and potato soup at 1pm
Bread, crayfish and salad at 7.30pm

    A surprisingly healthy day.

I'm on the fruit salads for dinner and then grilled fish for tea. Back to jogging daily at about 8pm. Have to get myself back down to a 32/34 as I'm not buying any more fcking shirts or suit bcos the others are getting tight.

Fck it, will be worth it in 6 weeks.

I've bought a treadmill. Arrives on Thursday, a whole month after I ordered it!

I used to run 40k a week. Now I run 0k a week. I need to find a happy medium.

I know how you feel. I'm kind of hoping now I've started again I'll get back into the rythm. I dont have space for a treadmill. I just about get away with a workbench and a few free weights with the mrs constantly having a go!

This is a fold up treadmill. Gets excellent reviews. Gym quality workout experience but you can fold it up when not in use.

It cost about the same as my wife's annual gym membership. She hasn't been to the gym in at least two years. Safe bet she'll use my treadmill.

I'd be happy if I could get to that perfect happy medium! I used to run home from work so I could go running! Almost overnight I completely fell out of love with it and I ****ing hate it now!

Trust me, she isn't a member of a cheap gym! But she's got me well sussed. Her gym membership gives us a significant discount on the family health insurance. The discount is almost exactly the cost of her annual membership. So I force her to quit the gym and our health insurance goes up. Either way, I lose!

Aye, going self employed and working from home really ****ed up my exercise regime - used to cycle and run to and from work four out of five days. Now need to motivate myself, so it's ended up being 2-3 runs a week and pretty much no cycling for me.

I can't abide the treadmill, I find it completely tedious. Now the weather is getting better I might have a crack at outdoors running but, after a years's gym membership where I work (away), I'm having a break as I'm bored ****less with it.

Got myself a nice little back twinge at the moment too which is bothering me. I think I did it gardening on Sunday, which is one old guy cliche I can do without really.

Sounds like you've got your insurance provider well sussed if you are getting that much of a discount!

I think we get 25% off through her gym membership. To be fair she just uses it as an excuse not to go. It makes no difference to me whether the money goes to Bupa or the gym!

When I was into running I used to almost zone out on the treadmill. I'd focus on the clock, setting targets, the music etc. 10k would fly by. If anything I preferred treadmill running to road running as there were no people or cars to interfere with my running rhythm. Now I'm bored out of my mind after 1k!

My new toy could well turn out to be a waste of money.
