nah - he'll be gone the minute the seasons over - why would you want him in charge of signing / selling players for next season or managing next seasons pre season training - in fact why would you want him in charge of anything
i ment the allams tell him to stay until the end of the season when they can all leave together, leaving the new owners to find a manager
I got told on Friday that Andre Gray will be coming in as player manager next season with Gary Rowett as his assistant.
Its definitely true........ Bruce did offer to resign three weeks ago. Just after her boss at the BBC caught her hiding an acient roman candlestick up her chuff on the Antiques Roadshow. Theiving dirty bitch.
There was nothing stopping Bruce then or now. A manager can quit anytime if he wants but what we often see is him waiting to be sacked so he can get the pay off.
Presumably if he walks he can be sued for not fulfilling his contract and he is prevented from going elsewhere because he is still under contract - it needs to be agreed by both parties
Fairly sure people under contract just have to give appropriate notice before quitting. You can't be forced to work for the remainder of a contract, you aren't a slave.
No, but when a manager says to his Chairman "I want to leave, I've had enough" generally the Chairman terminates the contract by mutual consent. Not much use having an unwilling manager.
A lot of clubs have managers and players leave by mutual consent. Whether that's the player/manager instigating, or the club, someone misses out on compensation when that happens. Unless you believe the paper talk no one would pay us for Bruce so not much point holding onto him if he wanted out.
Maybe they'd heard about the £2 mill offer from Villa and thought that they'd hold him to ransom… you know how they work..
