Official, from an ex player........... Steve Bruce offered his resignation 3 weeks ago.......and it was refused. The players and the coaching staff are aware, no wonder he looks pissed off.
If the Allams had accepted our season might still have been saved. What a total screw up all round...owners, manager, players. I'm dreading next season in the Championship with only the weakest players left. !!!!!!
I'm hereing that Bruce agreed to that, but club insiders wouldn't agree to his demands vis a vis what happens after that. So if he couldn't get the assurance from the first team clique then it wouldn't be accepted from those in the no. After that meating he was well within his writes apparently but he, and he alone, wouldn't and if he wouldn't, then they said it couldn't be the case. That said, those ITK no that what was said then might be said again and if that's true then it would be the case and no one could not agree to that. Money is the real reason it's not happened so far. You couldn't make it up. TWT.
Well i thought that i knew but its turns that i never knew what other people thought they knew about this. So until somebody in the know finds out something concrete thats not known now we'll have to wait and see.
Funny how it hasn't leaked to the press if all the staff and players have known for weeks about a resignation offer.
Whoever gives their sources on a messageboard. Doesn't keep sources long. I'm not saying it's true but you can't say who told you for crying out loud!?
Why would an ex player know anything? If Bruce really wanted to go how could they stop him? I believe that they would want to reject it, or that they'd try to make it them sacking him, but I can't see how they could force him to stay.
i dont understand how they could stop him + they wouldnt have to pay him compo which would delight them
They could have had a sit down with him and tried to convince him to see the season out and see what happens etc. It does look quite hard to believe generally.
Admit it. You felt naughty writing that. A little bit of me died reading it too, I hold you in high literary esteem so even knowing it was for the lolz, it cuts like a knife.
It's easy to envisage Brucie asking the Allam's whether they'd like him to resign after the Derby fiasco - and it's easy to imagine them telling him to carry on - if there are no plans for a replacement then it would be a mess especially if they don't believe that Phelan is the answer - it's clear to everyone that he will be going in the Summer so the Allams will be looking for a replacement in any event
