So, who thinks Norwich will find enough points to crawl to safety?

Yesterday's defeat certainly looks to have had an effect on a few fans on this forum and I would like to see if there are any fans out there that still think survival will be achieved.

Personally I doubt it now.

No chance
After 2 pathetic performances I dont
think we will get another point
Championship here we come.
Bye bye Klosse,Brady etc

Might beat Watford, but could we be already down by then? I was hoping for an Everton v Watford Cup Final so they take their eyes off our last two games. But I don't think we're capable of taking such opportunities if they came along.

Looking doubtful now and yesterday's poor showing perhaps sealed it. Sunderland will take confidence from that into their last few games and our confidence and belief looked shot at the end.

Bearing in mind Sunderland have:

Arsenal (h)
Stoke (a)
Chelsea (h)
Everton (h)
Watford (a)

and Newcastle have:

Man C (h)
Liverpool (a)
C.Palace (h)
A.Villa (a)
Spurs (h)

I´d say our chances are slim, but I don´t actually think there´ll be very much between any of us at the end. As far as I can see from the above, I can´t see any of us getting any points from the next two games, and then it´s hoping we can win our last two while Sunderland fail to get 7 pts, and Newcastle fail to get 9 pts, from their last three. May be closer than you think, we are still that magical one point ahead.

Despite Newcastle´s win, after yesterday, Sunderland will still be the ones to stay ahead of imo.

Think all 3 sides in the mix have hopeless defences and will not pick up many points

Our chances are 1/3 at best as we do have that point in the board
Expect Sunderland will escape as they have a striker who knows what he is doing

Thought 17th would be a tall order after the great day at Wembley so not surprised at the situation we are in just a tad disappointed we have not learnt from the past

Look out 1p5quit we are coming for you!

Three of Sunderland's fixtures are City's opponents too. With both our rivals having the extra game at home should give them the advantage. Together with their experience that makes Sunderland favourites to beat the drop. But could the two North-East giants implode and lose their remaining games? Very unlikely.

We'll be fine. We're just in the downer bit before a mighty Hollywood ending. Think karate kid getting his ribs bashed in and looking done for, before bringing home the bacon, getting the girl and lifting the trophy with Alex "Myagi" Neil looking on smugly.
Did your mother never warn you not to eat cheese just before bed-time as it's liable to give you lurid dreams?

Not a chance. I think we needed to beat both Palace and Sunderland. Both teams were there for the taking. Was very doable.

I now can't see us picking up another point, let alone a win!

I certainly wanted (and kind of semi-expected) 4 points from palace & Mackems.
We may scrape a draw v Watford, but that will be that from a points tally point of view, I believe - and it's most unlikely to be sufficient :(

I could see us picking up four points I think - win against Watford and a point against either Man United or Everton. Whether that will be enough, who knows.
Newcastle play three times before our next game so we will know a lot more by then.

Nick Sellers, from MFW is in no doubt how we've played our season has ended / will end :(

Generally you always have hope that there will be positive outcome, but the way we've played for most of this season it was obvious from quite early on that we didn't have what it takes to stay up. I remember a fairly furious debate on here about leadership and Russell Martin, it hasn't been resolved, there's no leadership on or off the pitch. Sometimes we look like an amateur Sunday morning team, just kicking and rushing, if there's a plan then it's either so complicated that it's over our heads or the manager and players aren't on the same page. Basically we don't deserve to be in this division! So so disappointed with this season the team has let the fans down!
