Arsenal have always been like that though. My point was more that it's becoming harder to kill teams off, as opposed to the contrary opinion that teams are worse at doing it. Although it's probably a bit of both if I'm honest.
A friend of my wife's was just subjected to 10 minutes of anti-Semitic chants courtesy of a group of West Ham fans making their way back to London on the train. They apparently saw her Star of David necklace and just went for her. When confronted by a member of staff they claimed it was 'just a joke we didn't mean it badly'. Classy as a 3-legged giraffe on an ice rink.
I've never understood any member of the human race being able to support them, Chelsea, Millwall or Leeds. When racism was rife in football in the mid-70's, I can't recall any such chants at WHL, a fact that I am immensely proud of (although it should be the minimum standard anyone should expect in what is generally the most tolerant of countries).
Can they not get money from the LLDC and taxpayer to pay for "adjustment" lessons for their core supporters during their home games at the OS ??
I have:- Leicester to draw with Swansea then lose to Manchester Utd., then draw with Everton. That's a total of 2pts with Chelsea to play. Despite/and if we draw tomorrow at Stoke. Spurs are on schedule for a further 7pts. Which would crown us as Champions on goal difference. However As we know, this has been a funny old season in football. If Chelsea turn-up against us, but don't turn-up against Leicester,. Leicester could win it by 3pts. So in my book, its all rides on the Chelsea games.
Jamie Vardy could face possible action from the Football Association after appearing to swear in the face of referee Jonathan Moss. Vardy is alleged to have shouted “you f****** c***” at Moss and jabbed his finger at the Yorkshire official following his controversial dismissal and may be the subject of an FA investigation. The Leicester striker was given a second yellow card for simulation, after tangling with West Ham’s Angelo Ogbonna in rhe penalty ares, and then confronted Moss before the left the field. please log in to view this image What a cheating prick!
I thought the foul on Morgan wouldn't have been called if Huth hadn't given an unmistakeable two handed shove before the ball was kicked. Officials don't give wrestling in the box pens, but there's a limit to everything, and Huth and Morgan managed to exceed it. Leicester's pen was soft. The previous incident was closer, but, again, not usually called. Vardy dived ludicrously. So, on balance, Leicester might have been gifted a point, but my feeling at the time was that the calls worked out more or less fairly, though Leicester got their pen for the wrong incident. I dislike Huth more than all but a few players. I don't mind Morgan. He's just a big CB throwing his weight around. Huth uses his elbows strategically in an intimidation game. Leicester may push the line harder than any other team. It's usually called a mark of champions. But they overdid it this time. There was no reason for Vardy to do his Tom Daly impersonation when he was on a yellow and his team were up a goal, and looked all but certain to win. Huth shouldn't have shoved so blatantly, and after he did, Morgan should have been more careful. I didn't see this until after I posted. Adam, McCarthy, Wickham and Huth are the PL players who should be banned from football for thuggery, IMO, though I may have missed a player or three.
Wow. Barca have out-Arsenaled Arsenal in their end of season collapse. Truly epic levels of embarrassment.
Will be a great end to the season over in Spain. Personally will be rooting for our Gareth to pick up a league win.
I would agree, but the entire concept of Real Madrid as a club makes my nauseous such is my hatred for their arrogant impunity. Atletico all the way for me, especially as it probably means Simone won't move to the PL in the summer.
I've just spent the last two and a half hours downloading updates for PES 2016, as well as changing the names of the various Premier League teams to be accurate. It was still far more thrilling than watching Leicester play...
