I think some people always need to blame one of the players for our predicament, rather than look at the situation, as a whole.
First we had enemy number one of Van Aanholt, who was overtaken by Cattermole. Then we had the stupid comments last week that Kaboul might not be up to it: for Christ's sake Kaboul was marking, probably, the fastest, most prolific goalscorer in the league. Now we have Yann M'Vila as enemy number one.
In all of this, I'm not saying that we have the best players but, come on, compared to some of the dross we've bought in the last 2-3 seasons, they look like world beaters.
I think people need to accept that our squad, although not the best, is the much better than the one we've over the last 4 years.
If we go down, it won't be because any individual player's current form; it will all be down to the running of the club for the 4 year period I mentioned.
In all of this, I think it will be a real shame if we go down. Big Sam is, putting in place, the building blocks of a half decent squad. Probably not one that will be able to challenge for Europe but one that will be able to survive, quite comfortably, over the next couple of seasons.
I dont think people are criticising him, their just saying it how it is. Lets be honest his form hasnt been so good lately compared to what it was earlier in the season.
Football is a squad game so in my opinion he needs dropping for Seb to make him realise his place in the team isnt a certainty.
Look how much Catts has improved since he got dropped for Rodwell![/QUOTE]
Anyone getting dropped for that plank has to have a word with themselves, and wonder wtf they are doing.
I'd already have him in for catts even though he was great yesterday I just think he's most effective in Kirchhoff's role.Larsson?

You want to borrow my signature welder? I love how our board takes the piss after a typing mishap!Spot on mate and as i said on another post, we need stab slitty and i reckon Sam is the man to give us that. Expect a massive clear out in the summer regardless of what division we are in and then we can begin to stabilise the club and move forward. I'm not expecting massive leaps, more like baby steps but in the right direction.
I'd keep M'Vila in, he might not be in good form but he's still one of our best players. It's not like he's been terrible he just looks a bit tired. He can rest when the season's over.
It doesn't strike me as a good time to be messing with the team if it can be avoided and judging from the Norwich game him and Kirchhoff and Catts are going well together.
He has no reason to be tired after all the breaks weve had. A player that goes missing when we need him most doesnt sit well with me.
Based on his early season performances id have him for a reasonable price though.
I know what you mean but I don't think he's been that bad, he's not been as effective lately for whatever reason but he's been ok. For me a slightly off form M'Vila is still better than Larsson or Rodwell.
Thats the thing, what has he done? Hes been like an invisible man in my opinion. At least Seb has good work rate and good set pieces (sometimes).
