Ok back to the serious thread This one claims Sunderland are “fragile and flaky” exposing the author’s apparent major weakness in writing the article - he hasn’t actually watched a Sunderland performance this season. Apart from the 2 goals conceded against Leicester, who are the footballing equivalent of a freak of nature, we’ve been solid in recent weeks. Breaking teams down, ability to hold nerve in front of goal and seeing a match out have been the problems. I have read this five times now and I am now in convulsions at the unbelievable contradictions in this very last sentence which massacres the argument in the first. What did the Romans ever do for us?.....
The writer seems to have a weird sense of entitlement especially with his claim that nobody inside East Anglia is bothered by football and the Global football audience would care if The two North East teams drop down.
...which unfortunately we didn´t do today. I´m but any team which consistently makes the sort of mistakes that Bassong did (fannying about and losing possession) in the build up to Sunderland´s 2nd goal, just doesn´t deserve to be in the Premier League - it´s as simple as that.
