Off to an antiques fair at Stafford today, being dragged around for my opinion on Victorian jewellery boxes, which I know sod all about. Apparently it is an essential, according to "she who must be obeyed", no doubt I will be a few hundred pounds lighter by the end of the day. As the Mrs got £8.50 back from the second place horse in the National she is putting this amount towards it, ignoring the fact she bet £10 on two horses in the first place.

As long as I can get back in time for the match, and my son and his mates have not drunk all the beer, I will be OK.

£200 on antiques? I'd have told her to be happy with the one she's got. <ok>

The one she has is old and creaky, it needs a makeover, but whilst it is still earning she will hopefully stick with it. It is still fully functioning in all departments, just a bit slower than it used to be. I think Fiona Bruce would still rate it as a good investment

Not going to go up in value though... unless it's insured for a lot <ok>
