Yes, it all seems to come down to losing to losing to teams around us - Villa, Swansea ad now Palace. It's more like a 12 pointer next Sat now and unless we win .....

Surely it's inconceivable that Sunderland get anything from their lunchtime game v Leicester tomorrow? <yikes>

Nope, that's why I wanted us to buy a striker. Who would shoot and score goals.

Player ratings from the Daily Mail - Ruddy 6; Wisdom 6, Bennett 6, Klose 6 (Bassong 40, 6), Olsson 5; Jarvis 6 (Redmond 76), Howson 5.5, O’Neil 5.5, Brady 5.5; Naismith 6 (Bamford 66, 6); Mbokani 6. Every single player is at least 1 or 1.5 points down on last week.
Let's hope Klose is back and that the players have been saving themselves for next Saturday!!!!

So far a massive flop with a sell on clause in my humble opinion.

I think all those scores are far too generous. I'm so disappointed with that display on a scale of 1-10 I'm about 11.

Need to pull your finger out, Could easily have beaten palace there. the ref never helped but you cant rely on that at this stage. There is a hell of a lot of money involved this season so i hope Norwich stays up and send the two North East clubs down with villa.....

Naismith is over the hill, overrated and basically ****. I've seen nothing to suggest he was worth the money we paid for him. Yet another **** up by the board <doh>

He did play quite well against Newcastle in the first half last week, but when Newcastle decided to come out and make a game of it in the 2nd half, he became practically invisible!!!
The money would have been better spent on increasing our bid for Afobe I feel.

I think nearly everyone on here felt that. They obviously though a man with his experience would be safer, than a kid who hasn't played in this league.

One of the main reasons Bournemouth are so much better than us. They take exciting risks and they pay off.

Every signing is a gamble, but £8.5M for an ageing 'striker' who couldn't even make Everton's bench at times? Come on, please <doh>

<applause> and that's why they're safe and we're fighting for survival.
Whichever league we're in next season, I'm hoping we'll see several players leaving us and some new blood arriving (I see Whittaker realises it's time to 'move on'). I'm not sure how many of our youngsters on loan are ready for the step up, but I'd really like to see Toffolo and perhaps the Murphy twins given a chance. Do we have any keepers 'waiting in the wings??'

If we go down I want Tofflo, Murphy twins in our squad definitely. I'm not sure what standard Morris is, but I've liked what I've seen of him in youth games and friendlies. Also, might as well give a few games to the kid Arsenal et al were looking at. Cousins was it? Think it was a midfielder. We need to be a bit more like Southampton. Give the kids a go. Ipswich do it so much better than us, because they have to, with no money. Just look how many players they produce that go on for better clubs.

    You recon?

Ruddys ok in that league, and Rudd I want to see step up. We bought in that Blackburn keeper as a pointless 3rd keeper yet again.

I wouldn't say that's where we need to focus.

If we stay up, then yea, maybe move Ruddy on, bring in a new number 1, and have Rudd as an understudy. I wonder how many more years Rudd will put up with being a bit part player?
