What about Terry Curran? Was it his goal that got us to Wembley in League Cup Final?

Sorry sussexsaint, great minds and all that!
Maybe this really is an age related subject. Though old enough to remember Terry Paine I never saw him in his Pomp and therefore he never gave me those thrills Mr Curran did!

St Godders

...... oh sorry, I thought it said "Whingers"

in that case I'll say Chicken George Lawrence. Please note, this is favourite, not best. Chicken George simply was hilarious.

Hey come on that is a bit below the belt and after you and I have agreed on so many things.

It would seem that since I have become Mr Nicey Nicey people feel free to take a pop at me.

Well it is no longer Mr Nicey Nicey you ill mannered toe rag. I'll meet you by the bike sheds after the game on Saturday. Walking sticks at 20 paces. Only trouble is if I used mine as a weapon I would fall over.

Danny Wallace.

100% agree!.....every time he went on a lightning quick run the anticipation and excitement in the crowd was amazing....would he fall over the ball?....would he slice it wide into the stand?....would he cross it well?....or would he have a go himself?
Those were the days :emoticon-0100-smile

and would he remember to stop when he got to the byeline or keep running into the fence at the Archers Rd end. Still loved him though. Poor fella now though.

Good pick - never thought of him when I saw the vote. What a player! Loved watching him play! I actually voted for Oxo; I see alot of us went for Lallana, but I think he's so more exciting these days when he drifts inside as an attacking central midfield behond the forwards - rather than as a conventional winger.

Here's a shout out for Nicky Holmes...He played left midfield in the '76 cup final and switched between LM and LB for the next 10 years.
My favourite would be Danny Wallace for sheer excitement.

And another glimpse of Danny Wallace magic ...
