I really enjoy watching Cue Card, always been something about him. Not from a punting perspective either, I enjoy most racing without a bet and he's been a breath of fresh air since his win at Wetherby.

Altho I love Don Poli and the ground will help him I just think things will be a little to quick for him still- Cue card did not have a race at Cheltenham, yes we don't know what the fall took out of him but he was hard on the bridle for the part he was in it ! If the fall hasn't taken it out of him he is going in to this race a fresh horse! The ground won't be an issue for him and on a flat track like Aintree he will get the trip no problem!!
Booooom! The fall had no effect what so ever! (So it seemed)

Whisper this .... a second and 2 winners ..... is this the Reeb nag's going day?

Obviously I'm on Fanny next up!

He's just a class horse. The reason to take a chance on Don Poli today was his price and almost certain to place. Cue Card had that big question mark re how would he cope with a fall. He answered that immediately.

I think there's no questions whatsoever about his ability to stay. He's got a lovely cruising speed and a burst of speed. It's a frightening combination. If you watch him behind the front two - both today and Cheltenham - he has so much under the bonnet. He just prowls round, stalking the leaders then opens up a gear or two when he wants to put it to bed. Machine. I've next to no doubt he would have won at Cheltenham.

Three championship races in quick succession is very hard for any horse. Don Cossack has had a lovely break.

However, if Don Cossack were to lose in Ireland it really would kill the discussion.

I seem to remember Don Cossack thrashing them all last year at Punchestown after running at both Cheltenham and Aintree. Cue Card was in that field.

Getting your excuses in already?

Ffs, done a nice treble on CUE CARD, QUADRIGA and MINELLA CELEBRATION and was counting me money over the last.

Think The New One had that race sown up there but for the fall....<laugh>

What a champion she is. Made My Tent look like a selling platter there. Imperious.

Solar Impulse's withdrawal has ruined that bet, he was the 4th in trebles with the last three :(
I still collect so shouldn't complain I suppose!

Took a chance on Marasonnien in the Foxhunters .....
