North, I disagree slightly with our comment re Evatt not cutting it in prem. He never settled at QPR, and too be fair to Blackpool they did us a favour by taking him off our hands. I have seen £1 mill price tag attached to Evatt and whilst I personally wouldn't pay this for him, he did give his all in a Blackpool shirt last season, possibly played at the highest level he was ever going to achieve and I reckon he could do a similar job for another premier club. He tends to stay fitter than Hall and you know you will get a few more games out of him..plus the odd goal or two. It was his first ever seasn in that division, and our current squad has a hell of a lot of players who haven't played there and who could be tanished with the same brush. If you were to offer me Evatt or Hall or Hulse - I know which of those three I would pick.......and the surname wouldn't start with an H
Help ship 78 goals and get relegated? I'm sure he could His performance against Man Utd in the last game summed him up. Ninj, you are seriously on a mission to drive me demented!
Swords opinions - mine differ to yours - I have no problem with this. However, there have been worse players in he premier league since it came into existance; Devon White, Vinnie Jones, Greg Goodridge, Massimo Taibi, Karl Ready, Steve Morrow to name but a few. Evatt def not an international, and yes he was part of a team that conceded 78 goals, but (1) surely you cannot blame him for all 78, and (2) how do you think our current crop of defenders will rate against a Man Utd strike force?
