I actually never forgave you for Martin Chivers.
That I understand.
I actually never forgave you for Martin Chivers.
Kante is a shy quiet young man, who does his talking on the pitch ... again phenomenal today ... press reports today indicate that both Kante and Mahrez are to be offered improved contracts (both have 4 years to run already) worth 80k a week... whether they take it or not remains to be seen ... but the numpty above who commented that they don't strike him as the loyal type is blowing smoke out of his arse frankly ...![]()
... what Ranieri actually said was that he only wanted 'happy' players at the club ... his next comment was that Kante is very happy ... always smiling. ..At least have a bit of bollocks to quote me when calling me a numpty.
The reason why I said they don't strike me as loyal as your own gaffer said keeping Kante in the summer will be hard (see the SSN article a couple days back) and as for Mahrez, similar to Kante, Ranieri indicated he wouldn't stand in his way when linked with Spain's big boys (see any news outlet source from early March/ Feb), so as for blowing smoke out of my arse, maybe you should be looking at your manager for giving me the reason to believe they're not the loyal types.
What you guys are essentially doing is having a more glorified version of what Southampton done a couple years back, in which they managed to finish much higher than anyone expected, then when the summer came, a mass exodus of top stars occurred as clubs with bigger aspirations with more lucrative packages to offer came calling, the same will likely happen this summer, Kante and Mahrez know that the offers they could receive will be astronomical, you talk of offers of £80k a week but elsewhere they can easily be looking at 6 figure weekly pay packets from both domestic and European sides.
For what it's actually worth, I'd like to see you keep your lads as it's been a breath of fresh air to break up the usual top 4 monopoly but unfortunately for Leicester City, even when/ if you have a league title to your name, you still won't be a big enough draw for your players to genuinely want to stay, a lot will naturally depend on what your chairman decides but then it wouldn't surprise me if they saw this as a perfect opportunity to make a ridiculous amount of money, players who they bought for peanuts in the footballing sense to be linked with £25m-£30m+ moves elsewhere, somewhat of a no-brainer from a business perspective.
Er, yeah, that is pretty much exactly what happened.
Btw, you forgot the blatant tapping up of Victor Wanyama last summer. And Jay Rodriguez the year before.
You're right about one thing though; Levy and Pochettino is a match made in heaven, absolute pair of double dealing underhand shysters. But you can tell the slimey Argie he's not getting any more of our players and he's not getting his islands back either.

And thank the footballing Gods we never got Wanyama, what an utter liability he is, to think if we'd actually signed him then chances are we wouldn't have seen the emergence of Dier at DM is a truly scary thought, Dier pisses all over him in every aspect of the game.
As for going after more of your players;
Lloris
Walker, Toby, Jan, Rose
Dier, Dembele
Lamela, Eriksen, Alli
Kane
Who actually in Soton's XI would get into that side? I think your fairly safe for the time being![]()
... not really ... the guy speaks little English and all he has done is say that he is just concentrating on his job ... and is flattered by interest from others .. just signed a four year contractHe's hardly going to say Kante's been walking around with a face like a smacked arse though, is he? Besides Kante should be happy, he's sitting at the top of the Premier League table with his side, if there's a Leicester player right now that isn't happy then quite frankly they'd be a bit of a dick. Though in that same article, Kante was supposedly quoted as saying:
"I will fight for Leicester this season and next season we never know and we will see."
"At this moment I am focused on Leicester. We have to finish well this season but I don't mind about the other clubs."
Surely that rings alarm bells to you?
You've had the best CB in the division off us, and one of the most promising young managers in Europe, so you've done enough damage thanks.
Having failed to get Rodriguez or Wanyama, you then came back for our director of recruitment.
Luckily for us our full backs haven't been very good this season, because you seem to have significant room for improvement there. If Pochettino can turn Rose and Walker into something approaching the real deal, maybe there's hope for Cedric Soares yet. Maybe.

He will do soon!“I definitely don’t have any regrets. I’m playing for a massive club and playing Premier League football,” - Andros Townsend.
I understand he's not the sharpest tool in the box but he gets relegation, doesn't he? Surely?

Don't know what you mean...I see that Huth made it into Crook's team of the week. The photo of him shows exactly what he has done all season with no punishment at all.
I give up. It's honestly like arguing with my children. Are you even aware that Alderweireld was only ever at you on loan from a club called Atletico Madrid? The £12m we paid for him went to their bank accounts, not yours. Whatever agreement you feel was in place with Atletico that they subsequently somehow wormed their way out of is clearly between you and them, not us. As soon as his loan term came to an end, anyone was free to sign him. The fact that Atletico ignored your derisory bid of £6.5m isn't surprising given that we were offering twice as much. There is also the fact that the player himself went on record to say that he would love to be reunited with Jan Vertonghen, who he partnered at Ajax and in the Belgian national side. If anything, the real mystery isn't how we manoeuvred ourselves between you and Atletico, it's how other clubs clearly in need of strengthening at the back and with far more financial clout (City, Chelsea, United, Arsenal) than us didn't seize the opportunity to sign him for a fee that was still peanuts compared to the guy's actual ability.
But look, if you find it cathartic to throw darts at pictures of Levy's face every night, be my guest. Yes, he's a ruthless and calculated businessman, but in these particular cases I fail to see how you can be so infuriated, unless you're ready to admit to suffering from small club syndrome.
I almost missed this story. Didn't get why another Conte going to Stamford Bridge was news.Antonio Conte confirmed as Chelsea manager on a 3 year deal.
...but probably won't last a year.
P
We bought Toby A from a Spanish side not you. ..so tapping up is bidding for a player you also want?
Didn't Alderweireld turn down Southampton, anyway?
Atletico used their option to cancel their deal with the club and he said that he'd rather go to Spurs, IIRC.
So you're annoyed with us because we signed a player from a club in another country?Hardly matters how you came by him. The fact is you did, and for that I resent you. Since when did reason have anything to do with football?
